@MrMadMadMan - It's because Luca Turilli is a technical beast and can play crazy stuff. Eric Claption is a very emotional guitarist with memorable solos and songs. He can demonstrate beauty on the instrument with 1 note whereas lesser guitarists are incapable of producing that. Luca Turilli is an awesome guitarist to listen to but guitarists like Clapton, Gilmour, Page etc will always be considered better in the guitar world.
