Bono and Edge are cool. At 1:34 is the part where U2 play that great arrangement bit - they hold the chord and wait till the lyric is over and then resolve it. It must have been too odd for the Costello band to learn. It's such a cool arrangement idea - had I been Edge or Bono, I would have insisted that Costello's band play it that way. Edge and Bono are quite laid back . . . and cool.

No argument about the coolness of Bono and The Edge. But an arrangement that is too odd for the Costello band? RU serious? (they are known as "The Imposters" by the way.)

It seems ODD that you don't know that those guys are one of the ultimate best back up bands around.

Bono just had some vocal problems. This year, his voice seems to be in good shape. It's just that doing 360 every other night, is tiring.

They are the last real rock stars. They stay relevant, and if they stayed the way they were in the '80s, people will get tired of U2. Good thing they're still relevant.

I agree about Elvis' loud-ass guitar! Turn that shit down! He did the same thing tonight on Spectacle when he had Sheryl Crow on. BUT, I kinda like how he sings this one, really. Bono's voice has gone to shit as the years have gone by. And, I've been a BIG U2 fan since 1984--just to let you know I'm not some hater.

Bono has a Very good voice until 1995 but after start to have some vocal problem... but the voice of Bono seem come back in 2009 ; this is not yet as weel as on the Zoo Tv Tour but this is very better than in 1997 and after.

Ha ha Edge seems so lonely and exposed when he's singing falsetto by himself--but he's got a pretty good falsetto voice. I like how the audience cheers when he has his vocal solo.

watched the whole show Friday on CTV. Loved the interview and perf.'s. See Bono watching (with respect) one of his idols. Kinda like when he watched STing or Pavoratti. He is such a gentleman. So is The Edge! Over 30 years together and they get along so well. And they were not acting! The Clash and Costello were the first 2 bands they saw in concert...Very COOL!
