  • sup mobne i sent you a msg to ur inbox see if u can help me out.... thumbs up from PERU

  • 705hp +15% power loss for a 5 spd, or 23% for auto.

ca18 came in the s12 here state side

  • ca18 power.ja

  • that's heaps of power from a CA18,good work.

  • congratulations.. Thats one badass 200sx

  • 150mph here we come hey Ted? :)

    PJ

  • is there any spec list available , or forum build topic, really like to know more about this machine.

  • What Engine Rebuild kit did you use on this?

  • hmmm woot?

  • What?

  • very sexy!

  • 705rwhp?? Thats an incredible power for the baby RB! Congratulations man!

  • Thanks! Well i guess i have more power in this litle 4cyl engine then most rb owners ;)

  • Thats around what, 800/850hp to the crank? My baby rb has around 250whp and i'm already happy with it. It loves to eat clutches for breakfast. Cant imagine what would be to have 705whp lol... Keep the good work mate!

  • I say its like 800hp engine. But im not sure. I only know the whp.

705 is just as fun as 300whp. Its just alitle bit more crazy ;)

  • shit, sorry, i just realized it was a CA.

  • i like it when you turn insane nismo

  • From a 1.8L??????????????????

I seen it but I can't believe it holy shit I thought the sr20 was pretty bad ass for its size how bout this little bad bitch. Maybe my next swap will be a ca18

  • You don't hit huge wheel hp until you're 3/4 up the rev range.

But the CA18 swap does seem to work out. Sometimes.

  • Lolz well I already had a sr20 hatch now I sold it for a convertable I'll probably go with a sr20 or rb25 or maybe I'll put that suburban engine sitting in back 5.3L 315hp and the same wieght as a rb25 with nearly the mpg of a ka24de... or maybe I'll just leave the ka since I already swapped in a manual and see how much n/a hp i can get.

  • Come on, man. Don't be like every other jack ass and put V8's into things! Nobody likes that. :/

  • who does that? v8 are for retards man! :D

  • V8s make great power and @ 315 hp and 412lbs the wieght of a rb25 who could argue that plus with the shorter length it should have the same weight distribution as a KA

I love v8s especially high revving v8s great exaust note etc.

Besides putting in a SR is much easier even retards can do it ;D

  • V8's are for basic people.

Check out the V8 BMW. And the comments.

    Nothing but idiots. :/

  • Nobody likes that? well I do like high HP and torque great fuel economy and light wieght so I think a 5.3L chevy would be great just add 6speed.

Think of it this way it revs high only 415lbs (very light) easy to find parts does 18mpg IN A FRIGGIN 6,000lb suburban I usto build suburbans but have a surplus because the gas went up killing the domestic market and they shut my export market overseas. So why not. It'll still handle like a s13 and thats whats really important.

  • Ugh.

    It's about technical advancement!

It's easy to use a V8 is what I'm saying.

Anyone can make huge power with a V8.

It's a true challenge and a testament of someones ingenuity and creativity to be able to pull that much power out of an engine with half the cylinders.

    See what I'm saying?

  • well I wouldn't be the first anyways and I don't have a machine shop so I wouldn't really be doing it would I. I totally respect someone getting it out of a ca18 and all but I wouldn't be doing anything all that special to copy someone else. Its much harder to fabricate my own mounting of a v8 anyone can drop in a ca18 or sr20

I may go with a ca18 in a 1990 hatch but I want my convertible to be something unique if you do Nico check my car out I'm fixin to post pics of what I've done so far.

  • Yes, it may require fab for a V8, does that make it hard? No.

    CA18 making 700 rwhp?

    That's hard.

  • So if you want look up same user name on Nico and maybe I'll get some pictures posted soon I'm waiting till I finish my interior in the little free time I have its taking me forever but it'll be nice once its done.

I may go with the KA already in it I have an extra ka laying around outta the same year model so I can see how much N/A power a ka can make I mean how many people do that?

Besides all that the max HP id be looking for is 400-500hp a cam and intake make 430hp on the 5.3L

  • You could make huge power with the KA built. N/A! :D

See, I'm not against putting V8's into thing, it's fun and all, but it's just not... you know... it's like taking the easy way out, which is no fun. D:

"Wow, how'd you get that usually slow car to go so fast!"

    "I put a V8 in it."

    "Oh. Well... alright... that's... disappointing..."

But if you have like a smaller engine then it's like "I tuned and modified the stock engine to just push out a bajillion ponies!"

    "BAD ASS!"

  • And yeah, not many people have love for the KA. :/

So it'd be a good build. Show that the KA can play ball.

  • lolz well all I care about is being different and still being able to afford it. You see the 5.3L is like the KA in the respect that everyone either wants the LS1 or the 6.0L or something in the LS family or 5.7 vortec.

Well the 5.3 revs really high for a v8 and sounds great and really reliable and I only found one 240sx with it plus what sounds better than a high rev v8

a KA N/A on the other hand could be in every sense a true sleeper. pop the hood looks stock with a CAI then bwahaha

  • The only V8 swaps I seen are large V8's but no LS's... I would imagine it to be an incredibly expensive and difficult swap.

But exactly! People would not be expecting an otherwise stock looking 240 with a non-turbo KA to pull!

And I'm sure you could hit in the 200's or 250's with a well built N/A KA. :D

  • 200s is nothing raising the compression and putting some wicked cams porting polishing the heads and polishing the intake could give it upto 300hp believe it or not most of the HP comes from the head and air fuel mixture.

anyways why don't you suscribe Its gonna be a while but I'm planning on posting videos eventually when I get around to putting power into it.

  • Eh, sure, why not.

  • Zactly!

I do have to agree, V8's sound excellent.

Maybe do a V8 out of a titan!

  • half of the cylinders.... and a quater of displacement ;)

    just a "shy" 1.8 xD

  • Is amazing, yes? :)

  • Nice power out of a CA.

  • CA18DET FTMFW!!

You're an absolute fucking legend Mobne!

  • that is just rediculous 520kw, i just got 344kw (Aus most powerful i think) on my ca18 runing pump fuel E10. i might have to go E85, awsome

  • Great work!!! Congrats...What kind of ecu do you use?Is the engine stoked or 1.8?

    Thank you in advance...

  • its a 1.8l. Haltech ecu.

  • Fyfan va fett asså. Ska bli kul att se om du törs trycka upp den i 3 bar. :D

  • Har redan laddat 3bar, men inte i någon bänk. Så de orkar den med :)

  • Hehe, jaså? Ja det blir ju kanske ett par hästar per liter till då. :D

  • Very impressive. No nitrous right?

  • Insane ca18det ! :)

  • lol put up a full parts and price list, still got my kade and allot of guys i know seen to be breaking rocker arms on sr's frequently

  • What does the ka and sr have to do with my ca18det?

My engine does not have rocker arms at all.

  • nothing basically wanted to know how much u spent to make that much power, and what parts u used, because i don't want to go sr20det or ka-t at this point.

  • Okey i see.

Well there is no list available. And thats because i dont own such list.

A engine at this level is VERY expensive to build, expect it to cost you like 15000us dollar if your building it your self. And even more if someone els would build it.

  • Some proof, at no point did you zoom into the read out, at barely raised up on the dyno, and the burnout on wet pavement was hardly impressive.

My guess is it's more near 350whp.

  • Yeah, like i spend my time on proving anything for a noob like you!

  • I think you should watch the full movie link in the description. You'll see it's quite a bit more than your guess ;)

    Sick ca18det!

  • what are the modifications that the car has, cause 705whp is to much!

    gratz :)

  • Is this the new CA World Record? Good job!

  • Yes i guess so with a 1.8l ca18det engine.

  • Dude how much money do you have? You go thro tires like a whore goes the condoms

  • vann du inte tävlingen på Elmia ?? motor effekt per liter ??

  • Stämmer bra, vann den utan problem =)

  • dude i love this guy every time i see one of his videos he does a burnout LOL. I love ur car

  • Sounds great

  • SICK

  • SWEDEN = EUROPE

    so

    200sx with CA18DET!

  • Correct!

But as he says, it should be called 180sx because of the 1.8l engine. But its named 200sx in europe for some stupid reson =)

  • What made you go ca18 instead of sr20 like everybody else?

  • CA is stronger, can boost alot more, stock internals can take alot more stres than a stock sr20 ever can

  • I wasnt asking you and its a 2 month old question...the ca is fully built...he could have built the sr if he bought 1

  • yea well i knew the awnser, i talk to him alot, and ive asked him that same question, was just trying to help you out. Sorry

  • The sr20det is a useless engine.

  • Hows? it useless? and where do you get all of your parts for the ca? i rarely see those motors...

  • I would not say useless. There are much uselesser engines out there...

  • that isnt a 200sx.

    its a 180sx or in north america a 240sx.

  • Its a 200sx in sweden!

  • 180sx = SR20DET (japan)

    200SX = CA18DET (mostly europe)

    240SX = KA24DE (usa)

If this would be an 180SX, how come the steeringwheel is at the LEFT side? :-]

  • @XrOo08

    Its a european S13 200sx, they came with CA18det.

  • thats impressive dude... sick!

  • Wow. Your video is really clear. Whenever I upload videos onto youtube, it never comes out that clear. What did you do differently?

  • How much it is ca18? :D

P.S. show your mod list ;)

  • aww come on 3 bar or go home :P

  • Another beautiful video! a beautiful car!

Is what you're going to count that you had in hand! XD

Just a small question: What is the weight of your vehicle?

  • You need bigger turbo, you barely touched the compressor map drawn by Garrett ;) How much is the Intake Air Temperature?

Does the "Ported Shroud (Anti-surge)" help to gain more power? any other mods to the turbo?

    0.1bar @ 4000? 2.7bar@7000? Max power @ 8000 & revving upto 8500RPM?

  • I dont really know what you are talking about here.

2.7bar @ 7000? where did you get that from lol.

We have like 0.5bar at 4k and at 5k its over 2bar boost.

  • The graph in video is bad quality. Are you saying it is ~100 @3K, 250@4K, 550@5K, 650@6K and 700@7K? It is +100hp@4000rpm less lag than my 2876r had. I'm buying :) Are you using NOS for spoolup?

  • is that ice on you FMIC?

  • congratulation Mobne!!!!

  • i wonder how long this engine will be live :)

  • Wow congratulations!!

  • 422,7 HP per liter!

Amazing as usual dude. Salutations from Stockholm :)

  • Thanks!

I hope i can visit stockholm for some illegal streetracing this summer ;)

  • more videos :P and more :P

  • sweet ;)

  • SICK !! congratulations :))

  • BTW: How much power @ the crank? Not to the wheels.

  • 782bhp and 761nm counted with a 11% transmission loss.

  • That is insane :D

    CA18 FTW!!

  • WOW You Bastard :)

  • ja.. nog hade man förväntat sig något galet.. men det här :D sjukt bra jobbat, hoppas skiten håller bara!!

  • That must be a power record!

  • från en ca18det? galet.

    Grattis då :)

  • That's incredible, you rock ;)

  • :o fuck , congratulations man :)))

  • top of the line, no more comments needed.

  • So f***** cool

  • NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT

    my ass!!!

good job man!!!!!you created a firebreathing monster :)

  • sr20 ghey :D

    ca18det rulzz ;-)

  • Ca18det for the win!

  • Comment removed

  • why you marked it as spam?its the truth.

sr is easier way to maker power.but when this power comes from a ca its respect cause its the hard and lonely way

  • If it is so easy to make power from sr engine, why does so fiew have over 600whp ;)

I dont think its that big differense. But sr is 0.2l larger so it makes more power at the same boost. But it is the same costs to get 700whp from a sr as it is from a ca.

If we are talking "pbu" power. sr make more power from the same money.

  • it is NOT so easy its just easier than the ca.and u know better that. i meant "HP per euro".when u buy a ready stroker kit from tomei and boost the hell out of it and a greddy plenum isnt it easier?when every mechanic knows sr engines doesnt make it easier?and when an engine is on production so many years and they have experimented on it so much it makes it easier.

ps im a fan of your engine im just saying what i think its true

  • I think you missed the smiley ;)

  • here you go man ;)

    ps:looking forward for street racing-canibalism video!!! :P

  • +1 :D

  • This is crazy!

  • This should be the most powerful ca18det in europe. SICK!

    Put some street action!

  • Actually, i dont know any ca18 1.8l in the world with this power. The only one i know had 840ps with 160hp nos.

  • SEVENTH!! 1800 making 5 liter v8 performance power......booya!

  • Sinnessjukt! :) Finns ju inga ord för hur pass porrig den där kärran är! BRUTALT!

Bara hålla tummarna det inte skjuter ;-)

  • You are really a monster CA18DET !

  • what is this engine? CA18DET?

  • It is

  • WOW man you are my god

  • Congrats Ted, bed you can't wait to race it! When is the track open?

  • I guess some time in april.. =)

  • nice

  • Haha nu räcker det :) skönt musik från en vass 4a!

  • Niice!!
