MaxB, gg. Another thing you did correctly was to split your DTs when you that many. If you look at the game right before this one, you bunched them all up and it only took one detector to kill them quickly. I split mine so that they can get worker kills and scout before they die. Most players don't make tons of detectors and send them in multiple directions when being attacked by DTs. Once again, gg.

imo your are a bit slow with your screen and hotkeys speed, if you do lotsa practice and get real comfortable with that you'll see you'll find a lot more time with checking your scouting probe or microing your early push , anything .. again easier said than done lol

The only difference between win and lose pvz is how early you attack/pressure the expansions. If you sit back and let them bring the game to you, you lose, and in this one you got out of the comfort zone and kicked-arse. Keep doing this, tidy up a few things, (all mentioned in the comments) and you ARE master level.

sentries are too expensive to use as meatshields jeff. after they have cast their FF, move them to the back of your army so they can cast again.. don't let them soak up the damage at the front because they die way too easily

@Harold441 It's mainly because higher level games don't usually last long enough to get such extremely expensive units, as Motherships are usually late game units with the amount of money and time needed to make one. Of course, this is just my take on it.

The major problem i saw in this was, when you were doing early pressue you had about 8 sentries and only 1 zealot and 3 stalkers.... you have basically no DPS.

I'd say no more then 5 sentries and a few more stalkers .

If you have your army saved to unit group 1, then you can ctrl + shift + click a stalker to add all newly built stalkers to your selected units, then ctrl + 1 again to make that your new unit group 1. Helps a lot when adding new stalkers so you don't have to click and drag to select new units. And if you build stalkers + zealots/sentries, ctrl + shift + click on one of each unit type, then ctrl + 1.

Hey Jeff, a tip for those early zergling/roach all ins. I think when you play zerg you may want to hold off on your 2nd gas awhile, and instead of getting like 1 or 2 zealots and 6 sentries, cut the sentry # down to say 2 or 3 and get some more stalkers and zealots. Sentries are nice to have for early defense, but just aren't good enough fighting units to have so many of them for a first push from a zerg. Some stalkers would really help out.

i prefer 2gate stargate against zerg, getting a void ray pretty fast allows you to deal some pressure and deny a third if you scout; getting 2 vr's, and the zerg will either go hydras or spores, hydras being the more common choice for zerg the more active you are with void rays; then you go 5gate robo with collosus and largely stalker, and you get to roll the zerg with protoss deathball :O

Look at what jeff had to do to keep up with the zerg, kill 5 expansions, blink micro like a bouse.

@thehumor Only an idiot would let a zerg go late game. A tos who gets a well placed pylon can constantly warp in stalkers especially if they have two bases. Their ability to cut the field travel is op as hell. Everyone else has to travel the field either by land or by air but not tos. Infestors take to long to obtain against an aggressive tos.

@thehumor A little ling problem can be easily handles with at least lvl 1 upgrades. One thing zerg doesn't have is defense and once you have control (a well placed pylon and constant unit warp) zerg goes down easily. Like I said before the ability to warp in any ground unit across the map is so OP.
