  • @Scrapandjunk watch?v=pjWVUEhve74

  • Excellent.

  • @fredstuckmann Thank you.

  • gr8 vid

  • @blowemall thanks :)

  • How is it that freight trains are now coloured blue? I thought these rakes were red mostly.

  • @rokpur The new HL and HS-class goods wagons are now in blue color.

  • Undoubtedly fantastic video! Thank you.

2 questions, if you do not mind. What camera was used to make this video, its range is just awesome? And, I thought that the banker was dead, there was no smoke and sound level did not increase when it passed by. Can you please clarify?

  • @nrkgarg I use a Canon PowerShot SX20 IS :) The Banker is NOT dead. Turn up your volume :) This train was stopped at Hindupur to couple the banker because without it the train would've had too much difficulty to climb the ghats. There was no smoke from any of the locos because they were on full power.

  • @dheerajrao Thank you. You are right, the banker is not dead... :) And I stand educated on the smoke bit... Cheers...

  • @nrkgarg Cheers :D

  • Wonderful video - very nice!. Apurva

  • @apuwdm2 Thank you :)

  • Really really coooooool video, I have always seen two bankers (mostly electrics on Ghoti and Kasara ghats outside Bombay) and one lead loco, am really curious how come this one has one banker and two leads?

  • @bombaywala86 Thank you. Here freighters usually get twin diesels. In the case of this train, the station master at MKL told us that it got a banker because the LPs of the KJM twins were finding it difficult to pick up speed with the very heavy load. So a GY WDG3A was called in to assist the train in climbing the ghats. You can see that even with about 9300hp and the three locos on full notch, the train is still slow.

  • Indeed a visual treat. Thanks a ton. The camera angle and the steadiness adds to the experience.

  • @swarooprao thanks!

  • @ dheerajrao....... wow... cool... u guys r the real enjoyers........ keep up ur good work with the camera.. :)

  • wow..... this video really deserves 5 stars...... the lovely sound of wdg3a chugging its way towards u..... its a pleasure to my ears....... by the way..... how do u manage to travel long for these videos???.... good zoom.... the triple alco was gr8........

  • @varunchochi Thank you :) Went with family :) All three of us are railfans :D

  • in addition to all the wonderful compliments that have been posted by viewers.... i must say that this is one of the best videos of a looooooong good trains that i have ever seen.... (i counted 60 wagons...am i right?) the blue wagons are even taller the mighty dg4... i just loved the way you have captured the whole movement from more than a kilometer away!! Fantastic video shooting.... mr. dheeraj!! excellent zooming and capture, without distortion!!

  • @pkumar21 Thanks a lot! :)

  • awsome!!!!!

  • superb video.......pal!!!!!!!

  • thank you! :)

  • How busy is this line with goods trains?

  • I guess it gets about 4 to 5 goods trains per day. This line is very busy when it comes to passenger trains, but being a single line section, the frequency is a little reduced. Feasibility studies are being done to see if this line can be doubled and also electrified(I'm totally against it coz electric lines will spoil the beauty of this place).

    Cheers! :D

  • oh no i dont want that to happen.........coz these are one of the last remaining single lined sections.......and its a haven for diesels too!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fantastic.

  • Thanks, Arzan :)

  • Totally awessssomme!!! Splendid show by the DG3A beasts!

  • totally thanks!! :P :D
