If you want to replicate a color, do you really have to use (lets say) 1 part to 64 parts to get the 1/64th color? That doesn't seem practical. And why did you use part of each blend to add to the next one. Why didn't you just mix 1:1 to make half, 2:1 to make the next and so on? I'm confused. As you can see math is not my forte. I would also want to hear the answers to this questions because I tried to replicate a color and it didn't come out like in the scale =[

awesome tutorial! I am just reading up to learn as much as i can... as i want to one day try using polmer and metal clay in jewellery designs... thanks for sharing.

Kempler tools makes the square and circle cutters. They are available at most craft stores.

You can mix any kind of clay - you can also use the same approach to mix paint and dyes. Have fun!
