well if someone molested my child I wouldn't even call the cops I would just kill their ass end of story. I think minimum they don't need to be allowed to be in society anymore put them on an island somewhere with all the other sicko molesters and they can molest each other.

The reason why we have repeat offenders is because of the leniency. Punishment should be cruel and unusual then maybe criminals would think twice next time.

@lloo567 The laws are lenient because prisons are privately owned, but paid for by our tax dollars which keep the "business" running. A child molestor, rappist or robber can be released on good behavior and the chance of any of them commiting the same crime is very high and they return to prison; it is like a revolving door. For some this becomes a life style. If the punishment gave them a reason to think twice or they could be better rehabilitated then maybe there would be less crime.

@613maccabee I've heard 2 sides to that story. I've heard of people getting long sentences for just having the porn. And, even if the time were lenient, you have to consider how they are treated in there. In jail, people who have robbed and killed elderly people even think the pedophiles are more heinous than themselves and, from what I have heard, they treat them pretty horribly. I've never heard of anyone enjoying jail.

@613maccabee Also, I don't think harsher treatment would matter. You put the pedo in jail where he gets raped and beaten---now he is not only still sick but probably angry and violent to boot. Now how safe are the kids? We have to focus on ways to fix this instead of just "kill them". If we did that, how many other inconvenient people would be next? Manic-depressives? Schizophrenics? They can be pretty dangerous, too.

Let me first of all thank you for pointing that misquote out. To explain myself, I meant that fondling a child is very harmful, but it is not murder or mutilation. But you are correct. ANY physical touching of a child is harmful, but being touched is much easier to get over than being kidnapped or murdered. Thank you for allowing me to clarify my point.

I think how its real ignorant and stupid how people do treat a person haveing sex with a teen and a person haveing sex with a real young kid no diffrent. For example is someone has sex with a 14 or 15 year old these people have the same reaction as when somebody has sex with a 4 or 5 year old . Haveing sex with a 4 or 5 year old is 100 times worst than haveing sex with a teen but these stupid perople treat the 2 no diffrent.
