Im not gonna comment about tunning, but im just gonna say that the reason why its going out is b/c of your wammy bar . .. I have a Yamaha w/ one, and no matter how well i tune it, that bar WILL make it go out of tune . .. But, that was months ago. I've gotten it to stay in tune when i do major bends on it now. I've got a a few guitars, but the main 3 are 2 elec. and an acoustic . . . . What are your Primaries and how many guitar do u have ? Im sure since this was posted you've gotten more.

1) should check out the bridge, may be a lil bit fucked up cause that happened to my brother's strat so he had to get it replaced
2) should check out the tuners to see if they're a bit loose and/or sensitive, meaning do they tune pretty smoothly w/o much effort? then yeah, tuners

thats the artist series one i'm pretty sure. i have the exact same thing, except its from 1991 and was sitting in the case for 10 + years so the bridge is kind of whacked out. i think your guitar might be a liiittle out of tune also :/ good job though
@LaLaLandSRVMayer240 They actually had a sale at guitar center a few mos. ago. It was like $180 for a squier (a company owned by fender) strat, an SP 10 mini-amp and an electric tuner. It came in the black standard, blue,or the same color's as the dude playing in the video. They probably still have some but I guess it depends on where ya live. Hope u get one if u haven't already (cuz ya know, I'm replying to an 8 month old comment.

...To anybody reading this- for SRV's tone, don't neccesarily have to go pick up an SRV signiture replica model, just grab yourself any fender strat w/ texas specials (preferably the roadhouse- I tried out all the strats in guitar center and I narrowed it down to 2 of them, a white roadhouse and a brown one XD)
I was tuned down 1/2 step. I've encountered this issue before when playing this song. I think its just his guitar. I make sure Im in perfect tune before I play. I'm almost positive that its Stevie thats out of tune.

thats the artist series one i'm pretty sure. i have the exact same thing, except its from 1991 and was sitting in the case for 10 + years so the bridge is kind of whacked out. i think your guitar might be a liiittle out of tune also :/ good job though

Well when I bought it was about 1,500 dollars,but now its like 2,200.

@LaLaLandSRVMayer240 They actually had a sale at guitar center a few mos. ago. It was like $180 for a squier (a company owned by fender) strat, an SP 10 mini-amp and an electric tuner. It came in the black standard, blue,or the same color's as the dude playing in the video. They probably still have some but I guess it depends on where ya live. Hope u get one if u haven't already (cuz ya know, I'm replying to an 8 month old comment.

I have no clue why my guitar wasn't in tune in this video. I tuned it right before I taped it too and it was fine. I have no idea what the hell happened.

100% Sure. This guitar has been tuned down since the day I bought it. Maybe it just went out of tune while I was playing. Who knows. I sure don't know what happened.

Sweet playing, nice tone. I've got the same guitar you have right there last week- nails SRV's tone.
...To anybody reading this- for SRV's tone, don't neccesarily have to go pick up an SRV signiture replica model, just grab yourself any fender strat w/ texas specials (preferably the roadhouse- I tried out all the strats in guitar center and I narrowed it down to 2 of them, a white roadhouse and a brown one XD)

I was tuned down 1/2 step. I've encountered this issue before when playing this song. I think its just his guitar. I make sure Im in perfect tune before I play. I'm almost positive that its Stevie thats out of tune.
