now i've heard brick by brick, it feels like a regular awesome old style PROPER rock and roll song. thier fourth album i bet is when they're going to start picking up in music, and alex and them will really get into the music, as they're now used to the big crowds- or should i say, alex is. it will either be this new album, or the one after it in which they'll really give us the developed sound of an awesome rock and roll band that we so crave in this new century.

then there was the third album, humbug, which i remember reviewers bashing the arctic monkeys for not having much of a stage presence. just standing there singing their songs. the whole third album felt a bit like that- just standing around, the band getting itself together.

everybody says this sounds like alex isn't singing, and he does now, but i disagree. i loved his vioce on the first album, and throughout the second i was waiting for him to get into it (the music) but he never did. this made the second album sound very depressing in my opinion, cause throughout the whole thing there's not one upbeat song in the whole thing!
