  • Thanks for sharing. This is going to educate new pilots about the risks of flying low over water. Even with an Agama system, it is not worth it to fly low over water. Equipment gets spoilt and you will be grounded for a while until replacements arrives.

  • Good thing your neck didn't get caught on the rope and waves pull the paraglider out severing it.

  • Out fit your rig with a Quick release harness like race car drivers use . Cause you just never know whats going to happen and when .

  • Good luck has you, and good lesson for the others

  • Real one .... luckily I am still alive to tell u the story ...

  • slide show? really?

  • good thing your ok ,here in qatar there are rules you can fly freely over the sanddunes of qatar sealine but never fly near the waters. you can undo that mistake bro just fly and dnt fly again near the waters..

  • Thanks for all the comments .... As I said many times, it was merely my mistakes and hope i will be on the air soon ....

  • Cool video thanks for posting, dude, AGAMA will save your life, and keep some distance between you and the water, plain and simple, if you know for a fact and you can react undo everything and slip out before boing in, I did water landings in the Army, that is how we are taught, sorry to see you leave looks like you were having fun, lucky for you there were people around.

  • going looking for it find it then change your mind ,its all about learning to fly

  • GLAD YOUR OK.AND THERE WAS LOTS OF HELP.THIS TIME?

  • i used to say this is another stupid ignorance pilot that neva bothers bout safety of others and pretty much of his at a very first time i saw ur videos. but on the another thinking. i'd pretty much to say u re a glory ! well. where's the fun without the challenge ? Joe Burrus died in San Fransisco in his own magic show , Joey Dunlop died in a preparation for the Isle of Man TT. every legend comes from nothing more than a spirit. btw, I AM A MALAYSIAN :)

  • doesnt look too bad, I think I could fix it for you!

  • I'm glad you survived and thank you for sharing your mistakes.

I think there are many PPG pilots who need a wake-up call in this case. Hope you recover and find the joy of paramotoring again.

  • Glad to see your OK. You can't quit just because of a mishap, you don't stop driving a car because you had a car wreck and you don't quit walking after you fall down. Buy a hook knife with 2 blades, and a water rescue system for the paramotor. There is also this thing call "spare air" if you fly over the water a lot just get one of these and it will give you some breathing time under water. Never give up this is too much fun to quit. Good luck.

  • Wow . U was also glad to be on the beach . Any further out past the breakers and u would have been a gonner . 80lbs of paramotor , lines made of kevlar, and a 30 meter cute would take you and tie you up al the way to the bottom. I am glad to see others help out in your time of need . Fly another day and be safer about it , It when we get carless when accedient happens. It just takes once and then its game over .

  • man i'm glad you're alright and all those people were there to help you out!!!!

  • Guys! Thanks for your comments. Surely, it was my stupid mistake flying low over the wave ...

  • Maybe you should take some time away from flying. Why were you flying in the surf? A little better judgement. This was total stupid pilot error. I hated to see "good equipment destroyed" I am glad you walked away, unhurt!!! .... I know about pilot error as I made my share. I hope you learned from this.

  • A life jacket or, better yet, a life jacket and a water rescue system, would have made a large difference to your chance of survival at a minimal added cost and inconvenience.

  • Your last flight ... Till the next one

    Hope it is soon!

  • Glad to see you lived to walk another day. I've been involved in a water rescue of another pilot and I gave him CPR to bring him back. Had the waves been as rough as what your pictures showed, we would have lost him. Take care, and if you decide to fly again, don't fly so low if you are over water.

  • that was scary. real glad you are okay!

  • As heavy as a Flat Top is you'll be sitting on the bottom of the ocean before you get outta that quick release harness.

  • Yes don't fly low over water and get a flat top with the only quick release harness on the market. One second and you're out!

  • How about a better idea is to NEVER fly low over water!! Forget the hook knife, forget the dont fly alone, the only true safe thing to do is NEVER fly low over water period. Your lucky to be alive.

  • Lesson to others..don't fly alone!!!

  • Dude - hook knife please

  • I used to say .... if I gonna die tomorrow let me fly for another day .... not anymore ... I was trapped under the wing with tangled lines all over my hands and head and running out breath, really scary .... Like you said, I was lucky enough to have so many people people came for rescue .....

  • @brekmoxx Especially with those waves fighting the rescuers.

  • lucky you had plenty of people about to help.

  • Glad you are ok.
