  • Hey check out my vid. I got an 84' rx7 with high miles. A short little run 0-80mph. Let me know what you think.

  • eww 14 seconds ii can scooter faster than that

  • lcbvbnchn

  • it needs an ls1

  • I was thinking of buying one of these, but after that 11second run, no way :/

  • xDDD 0-60 ????? 0- 100 !!! :D :D :D :D

  • LimitPushing you change the shift in 6,000 rpm, and that kill the power, you can change in 7,000 or when the limited rpm buzz sound and you have better time to 60 or ever in 1/4 miles

  • im a wrx owner and im thinking of adding an 85 gsl with 103k miles to my collection any thoughts? please reply:)

  • @EthansOpinion92 The owner of this car had an 85 before this 83 and loved it. The 50/50 weight distribution is awesome, but if your'e coming from a WRX you are gonna miss the acceleration.

  • @LimitPushing oh ill still own it.. its my baby, im just needing an easy sports car while i do tranny swaps and other work to my beloved wrx wagon. haha

  • @EthansOpinion92 Do it! I'm a long time rx7 owner and avid fan/collector. It might not be a supercar, but few things will provide you with as much fun. There's just somethign about those cars that have an infectious "fun atmosphere about them" as one of my friends put it.

  • ive gotten to ride in my friends '83 RX7, it does 0-60 in like 4 secs. because we went up to 60mph and did 8 residential blocks in 10 seconds while slowing down after initial acceleration.

  • @Dude13450 4 seconds is pretty quick...actually it's a bit too quick. Do you have anymore details to share about your friends car?

  • @LimitPushing

all i know aside from that is the engine has been rebuilt, he added an extra coil or whatever, a custom exhaust, and it has the same rotary engine as yours (atleast looks the same... but looks can be deceiving at times), and thats all i really know about it, unless the custom interior (radio, steering, shift stick knob, and his seats are torn up) might have something to with it.

  • i got 6.5 on mine

  • (u) need new driver.

  • @carshel1 this video was made less than a year after i got my license, i am much better now and will try and talk limit pushing into doing another update

  • Cool but don't wreck the poor thing...

  • my 70ccm motorbike is faster but rx7 looks nice and is a perfect car for the first after gettin driving license :)

  • yeah definitely redline that bitch. dont stop till you hit the end of the tach

  • I once owned an 83 GSL w a brand new engine , intake and header . It could do 0-60 in 7.9 secs.

  • slowest car iv seen in a while , NOT IMPRESSED

  • @MegaMo19 thank you for letting us know, would you like to give me the money to work on the car so i can impress you? because i certainly cant afford to buy parts.

  • Nice rx7 man. my dad got one sitting in garage 13b bridgeport N/A, love the brap, brap, brap, brap tho haha.

  • god damn he was BITCH SHIFTIN

  • @whothehellisBOOBOO yeah that was less than a year after i got my license so i was still learning, i have gotten much better. i will try and talk limit pushing into doing another update where people dont hate on my shifting haha

  • LP, you say she's past her prime but i say you don't drive her like she wants you to!

Like previous commentors say, if you're doing a speedrun, shift at 8k! I bet you'll get more than a second knocked off that 0-60 ;)

  • @Zemus386 We have an update video where we did shift later...just not that late. The owner did not wanna go that far.

  • @LimitPushing tell the owner that it's good to rev the shit out of his 12A at least once a week.

  • i used to have an 83 RX-7 I miss that car. Had the choke throttle on it when ya start it and the old ass sun roof that had a dial on it haha. I had a blast drifting that thing

  • LOL gotta love it

  • haha man and this pice of old shit didnt lose power ? 1983 ...

  • this is shit :S mine hammers compared to that

  • hmm my 2nd gen does it in 7.5

  • fuck of ive got a 16 year old 55 bhp 1.1 punto that dose 0-60 in 10ish seconds :S your car is shit ! :)

  • No you don't, the 0-60 in that car is around 12 seconds, and if its 16 your car has lost power...so unless youve stripped it...I don't believe you

  • my car deffo has lost power no question but i would not post this if i couldnt do it,.. but your car is shite i would actualy tan you off the lights :D

  • Well its not my car but I would like to see that.

  • @ellio56 well that guy didnt shiift right hes shifting low as hell hes suppose to shift at 8k rpm, and hes stock what do you expect? but with a weber 48ida downdraft and a Rb Header With Piping He Will Hit A 13sec in The Quarter!

  • @ellio56 my car is shit for not being able 60 faster than your car? okay, by that logic you car is shit for not being able to handle like my car. see what i did? i called your car shit because it isn't good at something it wasn't specifically made for

  • wouldnt pull the skin off a rice custard mate...gay lol

  • k 0 to 60 stock ! is like 8 sec's. lol u may have some issues

  • @zimninski try 9.7 for gsl models

  • My 1986 mazda 323 can accelerate faster = rofl

  • looks like it wouldnt pull a sailor of my sister

  • Do a Turbo II swap on her and you will have problems finding a challenge on the street...even the 12A with just a racing beat intake a holley,street/bridge ported and msd's will make this car a lot more fun than most of the new cars out!!! i fucking love 1st gens!!!!!!

  • anyone know how to convert the carb to a weber carb? seriously need help

  • yeah... for a 0-60 you should hit push 2nd and 3rd gear to 4000 rpms.

  • I think my 88 glx will do it in 9 or 10. But the 12a rotary engine oly puts out 120 hp ISH

  • With that said I was watching World Crazy Police Chases and they were chasing an 1985 GSL-SE and the announcer said ," The 250hp sport couple just pulls away from the police cruizers" LMAO i was laughing so hard

  • gxl will do it in just over 8.

  • lol my dads got a 1990 volvo 740gl, N/A and does 0-60in just under 8... even that would smoke this hunk

  • 7 secondsss... waooo

  • And holy crap, 11 seconds!!! Just taking your sweet old time aren't ya! lol That car could easily push 7.5 to 8 seconds, STOCK! I have one, I WOULD KNOW. ;)

  • lol this car is way past it's prime

  • iam geting one is the rx-7 a good car?

  • great car! wish i kept mine now

  • OOOOO YYYEEESSSS..... I will NEVER get rid of mine

  • it's an amazing car!

  • @S0M0NE45 i love it to death, it takes a while to get used to. but i love working on it and driving it is so much fun. but if you are considering a first gen, do some research on it and take it to a mechanic first. cuz a lot of things can go wrong with age.

  • I find it funny how people with ABSOLUTLEY NO rotary knowledge try to talk they the know it all. A bridge port or possibly peripheral port would do the job, and some! You put a turbo on a stock 12a your just gonna end up pushing the poor thing too far and scatter it.

  • 0 to 60 time would be a lot better if you go higher with the rpms that is where the rotary motor gets its power

  • Yea, we had a redo on this 0 to 60 that was way better. Look for it on our channel.

  • this was kinda like a test run

  • no...rotary engines do not need to be rebuilt every 60k miles. i have seen 12a's go well over 200k and still running strong, if maintained correctly, you can make them last.

  • Idk how well this one has been maintained, but Id suppose your right.

  • if maintained properly true, but the still would have much more power if they are rebuilt and ported.

  • no. they dont. rebuild of a n/a rotary is on average, 200-240k miles. i should know. i have a mazda dealership manual for repair and maintenance of a rx7.

  • @Truenofan yeah you are right, i appologize my source was very unreliable

  • *** doesn't really need one

  • expected much better, then again i don't know the specs of that car. turbos never hurt.

  • That car need an engine rebuild so bad.

  • sounds expensive. my Z doesnt need one and also on my first couple comments on your videos, i wish i had that kinda money to. after school is over with i'ma try to get my acting and career off the ground, then i'ma rebuild and bore it out.

  • ...rotary engines are supposed to be rebuilt every 60,000 miles, that car has 168,000 on it. Also it cost a lot more to rebuild a piston engine because there are many more parts. Rotary engine, a basic rebuild is around $1500

  • true that. but after they rebuild it i suggest a turbo and possibly an intercooler.

  • You are an idiot.

Mine had 243,XXX when my original engine blew.

    learn2read

  • yeah, i know we are planning on redoing it after i do some work on the engine

  • You are no where near the red line. Rotary engines produce more power the more you rev them.

    LETS HEAR THAT BUZZER!!!!!!

  • @Prototypeuk the buzzer stopped working a long time ago, i miss it

  • rx7s are not meant for speed, they are made for the handling
