I'm so bummed out that Celtic Frost disbanded again. This release is a total dark masterpiece that I'm kicking myself that I wasn't able to catch them live when I had the chance. Tom is a living monument to real Metal. This song kills you a little at a time, so, SO BRUTAL!!

This is the only CF album I've ever really connected to besides Morbid Tales. This song in particular has such atmosphere...the whole album has such a dark and oppressive vibe to it, much more than most Black Metal claims to have. Unique work.

Celtic Frost was a revelation for me back in the eighties. Morbid Tales is still one of my favorite albums, but, I don't think this is a departure for them. This sounds more like Celtic Frost than some of the albums I heard in between. I think they should get a whole lot more credit than they do for creating that massive sound.

I've heard both Mega Therion and Monotheist, and I'd have to say I like both incarnations of Celtic Frost's sound. It's always great to see a band change their style or sound for the better, and Celtic Frost is one of the few bands that were able to pull it off.
