I believe its illegal to tint your windows in a lot of countries/states they do it on concept cars so they can hide the interior

also many concept cars are shell only. so it's primary function is to cover up the empty interior.

like Putterran said, when they are showing early concept cars, they might not be ready to show interior especially if it's based on production car at that point. so they cover it up.

another issue is that it helps you to focus on the outside design of the car better.

Its because the car isn't finished (interior). They put the cars out there to get an idea of what the masses think of it, then make it production ready.

borninseoul? same here. neway, realistically, i hear from many korean engineers that it will be difficult to "catch" up to japanese/european automakers. and the reason why korean automakers have at least come this far is because of overseas engineering and design labs. need to bring in more and more german and japanese engineers and european designers to upgrade pedigree (which we sort of lack): just my opinion.
