i have a question... i have grishko's 2007 and, u know how when your on flats, your teachers say, lean on your big toes... well thats what i do, but on pointe... i started realizing that the box on my left pointe shoe is started to lean more to the right... is there anything that i can do to prevent it or is that something natural for a dancer?

I need some advice. I recently started ballet for the first time. I am very serious about it, and it is one of my lifelong dreams. I enrolled in a local dance studio, and instead of putting me in a beginners, they put me in a regular class. She said i was fine.....however i get so frustrated whenever i go, because the place does not feel very serious. I didnt know any of the basics, and they barely even correct you on technique. What should i do?

@burtonfan2499 I was on your same exact situation when I returned to ballet at 13. I got so frustrated, I ended up giving up ballet. I now will return (at 22) to ballet, 'cause I just love it, but I did research and found a school that offers individual lessons and prepares you for pointe. It's best if one's a beginner to start at a place were you can take individual lessons, that way, the teacher focuses on you instead of the whole class at once. I begin soon, I hope you find a good studio!

@thclub1 your best bet would be to ask your teacher because they're the one that ultimately will decide when. When you get to dance on pointe is different for everybody.
