Hi, I am a Dutch flight attendant. Is this true? Sleeping on the galley floor? No hotel? Paid only half your hours?

Ok, I don't get paid for delays either, but if it is a very long delay, sometimes you get an extra day off an other time.

All long haul planes have crew-rest-seats and some even an overhead crew rust with bunks.

You deserve that too!!

When did labour become a dirty word. Corprate greed is running rampant in this global economy. CEOs are skimming off the profits by way off hugh bonouses. How do CEOs get bouses from companies that don't show a yearly profit? How would you computor geeks who sit on your asses all day long like to put in a twelve to fourteen hour day on your feet and get straight time pay for only half of it.. These flight attendants are there for you and your comfort and should be able to earn a decent living

Air Canada will survive, with or without you. If anything, new, smiling faces instead of the surly present ones may actually improve their balance sheet and even enable them to offer better working conditions to their staff.

Way to get the message across lol! The reason I left my job at Air Canada was because of this but it should not have had to come to that. A well run business has happy employees because they are treated fairly & with respect. It will all end when one of two things happen:

- We vote out the ( PC ) Private Conservitaves and dont allow the Liberals back as a mojority, which really leaves the NDP Party to support workers but ruin everything else.

- March on parliament hill in defense of all WORKERS if we want to prevent the "communist Provinces of " Canada.

How can I expect good service from Air Canada when staff gets shafted like this? This is not fair to employees. This is just another indication that the world according to Harper is SHIT. With all the cut-backs in services in the airlines over the years (9-11?) the prospect of taking a flight is less and less appealing. Maybe it's a ploy to get us to stay on our little end of the world. Employees who have other options will leave and the airline will sink.

It will be just like the Canada Post "negotiations". Both sides present their "best offer" and an arbitrator appointed by the Harper Government will choose one (which will be the management's offer), winner take all. Then big business will be happy giving ridiculously low wages to their staff. Wages lower than your average office worker.
