4567pod, there's nothing wrong with lighter skin. If this were a Miss Europe pageant, I wouldn't be surprised to see so many women with light skin. But this is called Miss AFRICA USA, and it seems that the contestants feel they need to look European to compete. It's sad that we, as Africans, don't appreciate our African features.

This is sad. Miss Africa and almost all of them have straightened or processed their hair and many of them are lighter than 99% of the people in their native countries. Why can't we appreciate the natural beauty of African women? Props to the women with their own natural hair.
