Where the hell is Osvaldo Alonso's goal against DC United? That was by far the best goal of the game, upper V shot from over 25 yards out. Much better than a pussy volley from Chris Pontius. This is ridiculous.

DCU fan voting...Alonso, who wasn't nominated for some strange reason. I recall a similar situation last season vs. the Rapids where Quaranta scored an amazing goal and the nomination went to Joe Vide instead.

So I'll be a homer and give it to Party Boy, mainly because his taunting of the suddenly-silenced Sounders crowd was awesome.

wow. goalie didn't even try for pontius' goal and he wasn't that far from it... goalie should've came out in cumming's goal... so i dunno how impressive it really is. seems like the goalkeeping needs to step it up for me to think these goals impressive. i like montero's defense for offense play.

Montero did well to make his goal and I love seeing strikers work back on defense. My vote though is for Cummings. He looked like a top class forward dribbling at pace from almost half field and scoring with a clinical, confident finish.

Skill isn't everything you know, Steven Gerrard is the world's most complete player but is not known for his skill. You can't have a team of just skillfull players you need a workhorse that will create chances and battle for the ball, Beckham's one trick i hope ur on about is his crossing, that one trick usually sets up goals. I couldn't see Ronaldinho chilling with Tom Cruise either. To be fair i kinda see ur point and im not a fan of Ronaldinho.

I think the US needs a good balance of Superstars and young talent, Superstars being Ronaldinho and Beckham young talent being someone like Mauro Zarate and Gourcuff. Saying that something must be going right, becuase MLS is growing fast, next time im in the states im gonna try and catch a game, it would be interesting to see the differences.

It is a crime that Osvaldo Alonso's goal is not in this reel. That was one of the most amazing goals I have ever seen. Im getting pretty pissed at the MLS for how they splice these highlight reels together; not showing Alonso's goal, Ekpo crawling around like a fool, or the vicious ankle stab on Le Toux that should have been that bastard red-bull players 2nd yellow. IMO the MLS organization is as poor as their referees. Thank god the teams are better than the organizers of the league.
