According to Romans 13:1, God ordained the Constitution to be the supreme law of the land in America. However, it does not ordain the federal government to be her Caesar. On the contrary. We elect representatives to do good. But when they do evil, it is our responsibility to recall them, and elect new ones who will do good !
The theory is sound, but the practice is something different. There has to be righteous men available to be elected, as well as attention given to them. Alright, i will try one more time. When you say it is God's commandment, you reference Romans 13.
Paul who wrote Romans 13, did not unconditionally obey government, even when he wrote that. Jesus Christ, and NONE of the apostles obeyed government either. Romans 13 as you believe it, is completely adverse to the rest of scripture. You must have a balanced understanding of scripture, and in particular the new testament first believers, before you can understand this.
This argument is sort of like these people who read: Rev 22:19 "And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.", and apply that verse to the whole bible instead of the book of Revelation for which it was intended. I see this mis-application of scripture done commonly with the mis-application of Romans 13 together.
Look, we are commanded by GOD to disobey government when government is in clear disobedience to God, which they almost always are. The people of a nation gets the government they deserve. According to Romans 13:1, God ordained the Constitution to be the supreme law of the land in America. However, it does not ordain the federal government to be her Caesar. On the contrary. It ordains "We The People" as her sovereignty. Therefore, God has ordained us as His civil magistrates, to be His ministers for good. And has given us His sword of justice. We elect representatives to do good. But when they do evil, it is our responsibility to recall them, and elect new ones who will do good !

The theory is sound, but the practice is something different. There has to be righteous men available to be elected, as well as attention given to them. If both are not available then all we get is evil choice A, or evil choice B, and that has been the case for a long time now, really ever since TV has become the "god" of most homes.
The people get the government they deserve, and in the case of America, the people don't even have control over it any longer. Thanks for the comment!

I don't know of any, and i have been through the bible many times.
I know many of Jesus' words would be honored and obeyed by refusing to obey evil government. If the Holy Spirit be in you, then i don't see how you can possibly serve another kingdom other than God's. Jesus and ALL of the apostles disobeyed the government in their day, and were jailed, exiled, and executed by the government for not obeying.

romans 13.all governments have been put in place by god.Hitler,mussolini,stalin were all put in place by god.we should obey even governments going against laws because that is what god told us to do.this is how it should be,children must obey elders,authority AND the governments are the parents of the world and we have to obey them no matter what because this is what god intended for humanity.

He was jailed many times, suffering persecution from the government , for refusal to obey. As you may know, he is the one who wrote Romans.
It is our mis-interpretation of this scripture that is the reason this un-conditional obedience doctrine has been widely promoted. The putting of this scripture to "God's law" status is also irresponsible. When applied such as you are doing, it is in conflict with the rest of scripture.

because he disobeyed god's commandment of obeying the government.the bible said also that if u obey the leaders of your governments nothing will happen to u but disobey than u will pay!!ur an adult ur supposed to teach us chldren on how to be obedient citizens to authority particular that of the government! our leaders may be bad but we have to do what they tell us to do its not for us to judge tem but for god to judge,all we have to do is to obey and i believe its the right thing to do!!

ok, here's what you are saying, Paul, who wrote Romans 13, which you say is God's commandment, refused to obey the same thing he wrote about.
I think you want to believe what you want, regardless of scripture, perhaps because it seems to be one of the popular wolf doctrines of the day, and if everyone seems to believes it, then it must be true ------ WRONG!
Please read the scriptures for yourself, and put aside what the local wolf who you might call pastor tells you.

yes,i cant remember the scripture but it say we ought to obey the government no matter what but the judgement of the leaders is god's responsibility,not ours,we must submitt to every order of the government,it is god's will for us to do so.didnt your parents teach u to obey government and authority?i dont want to believe what i want im just giving my facts!!

Alright, since you want to throw out scripture, and believe this thought, let's pursue it on that level.
You said we should obey a Hitler or Stalin or Obama, regardless of how evil they might seem to be.
Are you going to be the one to execute the political prisoners, because it is your job?
The Jews in Nazi times, the 20-40 million in Russia that were genocided. Will you take the mark of the beast because it is what is required to obey? To obey God you will need to disobey government. as a rule.

Wow, thanks for showing us what kind of twisted thinking it takes to kill in the name of God. This exposes the thought processes of the persecuters of God's people of the past, present, and future. Somehow believing you are pleasing God by taking the mark of the beast, and chopping the heads off of those who truly serve God. Wow - wow - wow!!!

Alright, i will try one more time. When you say it is God's commandment, you reference Romans 13.
Paul who wrote Romans 13, did not unconditionally obey government, even when he wrote that. Jesus Christ, and NONE of the apostles obeyed government either. Romans 13 as you believe it, is completely adverse to the rest of scripture. You must have a balanced understanding of scripture, and in particular the new testament first believers, before you can understand this.

This argument is sort of like these people who read: Rev 22:19 "And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.", and apply that verse to the whole bible instead of the book of Revelation for which it was intended. I see this mis-application of scripture done commonly with the mis-application of Romans 13 together.

Look, we are commanded by GOD to disobey government when government is in clear disobedience to God, which they almost always are. The people of a nation gets the government they deserve. In the case of the USA and many others, the people do not love the God of creation, but instead serve the devil.
It is no mystery that the government that they will get will also be satanic and NOT Godly.
We are commanded to flee from the very appearance of evil, and certainly NOT obey it.

Obedience to evil government gives alignment to Satan and NOT to God. By saying you obey evil government you have made your decision to obey "The God of this world", and NOT the God of creation - The Lord Jesus Christ. You cannot serve two masters. You cannot say you serve and love Jesus Christ, and obey evil government, it is like saying the north pole and south poles of a magnet can attract each other - NOT gonna happen.

Yes you could be right, but i've met some really dumb and blind out there, that absolutely cannot be reasoned with. It makes one wonder at the mighty ways of God, that HE can break through the darkness in our minds and hearts in order that we can see his love, and his grace, as well as his nature in other aspects.

Okay if i'm at my house & marines start to exicute a raid excercise, i'm goona say something. I hope that doesn't happen but... If the armed forces run up in my yard and start firing blank shells with oozees & ak-47s i'm gonna be a little mad about it MORE or less. Don't come to KCTCS campus cause me & my classmates would get a little defensive about keeping our campus safe. We are a pretty close nitt crew.
