Chris's drumming was much better served in Dillinger than coheed, that said i also think billy in dillinger is a far btter drummer than pennie, and Josh was a far far better drummer in coheed! I like coheed and DEP. so as a non-bias fan I will say Pennies talents are wasted in coheed and cambria. I like them and all, but they are flat out guitar driven rock music. theres very little for the drummer to do.

however, hed also be wasted in new DEP as well. alot of DEP fans need to stop walking around with their noses in the air. calculating infinity was a masterpiece, miss machine was eeeeh. hit and miss. ire works is simplistic and boring. it was cookie cutter.you can see why he left.

Coheed is progressive rock. I don't see how anyone who has listened to their work could POSSIBLY call them pop. Songs like Feathers and A Favor House Atlantic are kind of poppy, but Welcome Home and The Final Cut aren't at all. And they certainly aren't a rip-off of Rush; they use some of Rush's basics but the music itself is different. Show some respect to a great band, please :P

First, let me say that Coheed is my favorite band of all time. I liked Eppard with them, but now with Pennie, wow. their new album with him actually in the studio recording the drums will sound amazing. Having seen coheed live before chris and now that he's with them, they are MUCH better off with Pennie. He does a lot of stuff that Eppard didn't do. Not to say that Josh couldn't have... he just didn't. The super fast drum rolls, the odd time signatures, the drum solo's, the double kicking... none of it was there before Chris. Plus Chris is way more entertaining live. With Josh it was like... he was just there, with Chris it's like having a whole new thing to watch when seeing coheed live.
