You guys know that if you import UK releases of these games, they, no matter how old, normally work on all windows systems. Deus Ex works on VISTA just fine. System Shock 2: Just fine. Just buy from e-bay, and if it has a REMASTERED or GOLD CLASSIC or etc. label, its a U.K. version, and it'll work fine... Now,

I have no idea why Half Life 2 has a higher metacritic score than DX.

Don't get me wrong, HL2 is a good game, but everything HL2 did, Deus Ex did better.

@eddy67 At the end of the day, I love both series, but you've got to admit, HL2 is pretty linear, but not a bad game, I think Deus Ex is let down by it's datedness, I've found it hard to play, and since upgrading to Vista, then 7, almost impossible to get running, I reckon the DE3 team need to remake it, or SOMEONE! You know, HL:S style, except better.

@mackenzy123 Deus Ex is a classic, much like Symphony of the Night, Ocarina of Time, or Half-Life. I remember when I first played it; I got it on a free game disk from Computer Gaming World that also had Thief 2 on it. I used that disk to the point that the disk was unreadable.

it predicted 9/11 because in the game's backstory the NSF (which are terrorirsts), bombed the statue of liberty (instead of the WTC), thus starting the war on terror.

The game actually predicted 9/11 twice, as there was a accidental prediction where in-game the WTC wasnt present in the new york skyline, this was actually due to memory limitations

In the games fiction, two planes had crashed into and destroyed them, my good sir. This was done prior to 2001, mind you, so it wasn't based off 9/11. Simple coincidence.

Adam Jensen is the Deus ex machina because reed made jc Denton from his DNA he was patient x and if you played human revolution at the end Magan tells Adam that she used his DNA because he couldn't die from augmentations and that he just gets stronger with them. So through the whole series the heroes are little jensens

as an adolescent, i was first introduced to the epicness that was deus ex when i picked it up at a local game store for 10 bucks on the ps2. i thoroughly enjoyed it, but was too young to have the patience to understand the storyline or to even do a proper run without cheating. this game lay buried in my subconscious until a few years ago when i heard that there was going to be a 3rd deus ex game-i knew i had to do this game justice and beat it fair and square. today, i'm proud to say-

what's so hard about remaking DX1 using the graphics from DX:HR? I mean is it really so hard? It can be done very easily... If I'm not mistaken, all we need is the source code of DX:HR and all the dialogue and music files from the first game...

@niteshmurti You should cherish DX1 for what it is.Most games today are not on par with older gems like DX1 because they focus mainly on graphics.DX1 is such a great game i dont even need to explain why!
