I shouldn't be as irate as I am about it, but BioWare provided the canvas for Shepard... we were the ones who painted the picture in the end. We worked every detail into it, the color, the composition, the uniqueness of its design... and now a ten-minute sequence essentially makes all that effort in vain.

If your Shepard does a lot of work, wouldn't logic dictate that Shepard's actions allow for a better outcome?

Still... ME-3's ending left a bad taste in my mouth. So many plot holes, rather than provide closure (like BioWare promised many times)... it provided dissatisfaction and realization that... although you can work hard to get the galaxy ready... although you can spend hours foraging the galaxy hunting for any imaginable asset... and do everything in the previous two games... it doesn't matter in the slightest.

You essentially get to choose between 3 crappy outcomes which screw the galaxy over.

@MainHeretic actually there's 1 ending wich is almost perfect: Reapers get destroyed, Shepherd survives and you make the Illusive man suicide. Although the mass relays are destroyed in every ending, and the Normandy crashes on a random planet.

They should release a DLC with a mission that allows you to have a perfect ending (shepherd survives, reapers get destroyed and mass relays and the citadel stay intact)

I know it's a cliche, but this is a game like Gears of war: it needs a perfect ending.

@MainHeretic Thing is, this that wasn't the original outcome, the original ending had to be changed due to a massive leak on the script. not just the ending. the majority of the whole fucking plot. The original plot was that the reapers where undergoing there extinction process to protect all organics from ''Dark matter or energy'' as referenced and hinted at in previous games. instead they chose the reapers motives as prevention of synthetics wiping out organics.
