Buena forma de cantar este mantra tan poderoso. Nosotros lo practicamos aspirando y alargando las vocales con cada sílaba, así logramos una profunda relajación. Bendiciones
This is exactly what I've been looking for! I like music but not while meditating. After chanting with this a few times I found my breath and rhythm much more so than if there were other sounds to distract.

This is a wonderful mantra video, thank you. I am very interested in Tibetan mantras after I have watched a video - MANTRAS - Holy Words of Power" by Tsem Tulku Rinpoche. Please post more videos like this and may the 3 jewels bless us always.
Om Mani Padma Hum; Mantra of Avalokiteshvara. Om Mani Peme Hung. Mantra of Chenrezig.Chenresig/great compassion, hold me fast in compassionwithout time beginnings, withoug wandered in samsara.there is no other protector.pls.bless they achieve the omniscient state of Buddhahood.
OM-Unity of the pure, divine qualities of Maitreya holy body, speech, and mind. Hum.universal wisdom;the omniscient wisdom that understands universal reality. AH. Maitreya pure speech.Sarva.All.siddhi.realizations togethey mean, all realizations. From Lama Thubten yeshe's book.Universal Love.
muy emocionante cuando el mantra comienza a tomar musicalidad, es facil imaginar percusiones y musica al rededor aunque la finalidad sea crear un vacio mental.
This six syllable mantra represents all 83,000 texts of Buddha Teachings...not really translatable. My teachers have said there is no true translation of mantras because they represent far more than the few actual words being translated. It is the sound and the essence of, the whole, of what is being recited, and that, has no translation.
Whatever you say you believe in. It isn't the end of the world if you choose to get rid of a mantra like "om mani padme hum." The world is just more beautiful with this way.
Om and hum are sacred sounds, mani means jewel, and padme means lotus. The "jewel within the lotus" refers to universal compassion, "the wish fulfilling jewel", that everyone has. Chant as a proxy to help all living beings find happiness and in the process you will find happiness too.
I really like his chanting voice and with the wheel turning. Thanks millions for posting the video. May all souls free from pain and suffering and reach enlightenment.
"O thou existence Absolute, Creator of the three dimensions, we contemplate upon thy divine light. May He stimulate our intellect and bestow upon us true knowledge."
yes the musical version is good as the basic for beginners but then to break all attachments and bonds we will have to go without the music at some point.(Just my personnel opinion :-)
As I understand OM MANI PADME HUNG means "the jewel is inside the loto" and the interpretation is something like "everything you need to know or discover is already inside of yourself" or what is the same "we all are inside sleeping budas waiting to be awake"
Buddhist mantras dont have any translation or meaning, its the vibration in our body that make the work. Yes the difference between HUM, HUNG depend of the dialect or language but the important is the vibration when you sing the mantra.

Yes, some of them have a meaning more than a translation, But we should not try to find the meaning or translation of the mantras because this could detour the meaning of the practise and we could start making judgements about what the mantra says, specially when you are a new meditator.

actually hum or hung depend on the different dialects and areas...
Louism247 5 years ago
from what I've understood, the "hum" doesn't actually mean anything, it's just a filler sound around the "mani padme."
labeledat15 5 years ago
Buddhist mantras dont have any translation or meaning, its the vibration in our body that make the work. Yes the difference between HUM, HUNG depend of the dialect or language but the important is the vibration when you sing the mantra.
