That monster must have some teeth and stomach if he can eat glass. I can't imagine glass being too delicious, but I guess everyone has their own tastes.
7:43 - 7:48 I always love moments when one character whispers an idea to another when they're about to trick a third. I laugh from the anticipation. XD
From what I understand. Jim Henson really was unavailable for the taping of most of this show, and they wrote it into the script. Pretty cool in my opinion.
Ha -- I love when Fozzie replies "whatever" to The Swedish Chef. Caught me off guard. :)

But that said, the skit was funny.
Merry Christmas.

If I were a guest star on The Muppet Show, and I found out that Kermit was home sick, I'd probably cry.

I'm guessing Kermit left because of the gunshot in the begining.

Even Crazy Harry looked mortified about the blast at the end of the skit, didn't he?

Kermit should have left Scooter to host the show
Kidsmtvslv1 2 years ago
I think Kermit and Fozzie are pretty good friends. And Scooter is just the go-fer anyway.
And with all the times Fozzie is out on stage one would think he knows what to do! ... I can see why Kermit thought he'd be up for the task...
Without Scooter Fozzie would be totally lost there, though!

Tam Thehamster I think you're right about that it's a good thing Scooter was there to help Fozzie, after all I think Fozzie need a lot help.

@TamTheHamster So I'm a year late. :-) Scooter was "literally" the Gopher. lol

The intro to the show is just great. I can´t think of any other show with such a catching intro as the Muppet Show´s.

"I don't think. I know!"
"I don't think you know either!"
That still has me in hysterics. This show had a way of making the corniest jokes sound hilarious.

The Luncheon Counter Monster eating the glass remains me of Billy the Kid Goat from 1943 Popeye cartoon "The Hungry Goat".

That makes sense. However didn't henson provide the voice for the swedish chef?
DrJuliusStrangepork 4 years ago
Yes, but that may have been prerecorded, while someone else performed him considering it was only a brief scene.

i'll take your word. damn good chance that you know a whole lot more than I do.

@LincolnHeightsrocks That IS pretty cool!

@LincolnHeightsrocks He did Rulff the dog in vet's hostpitle and Kermit at the end of that episode.
But why Jim Henson was really not available in this episode?
collgoff 8 months ago
@collgoff Its ROWLF the Dog. Not RULFF the dog.
