  • Ha -- I love when Fozzie replies "whatever" to The Swedish Chef. Caught me off guard. :)

  • That monster must have some teeth and stomach if he can eat glass. I can't imagine glass being too delicious, but I guess everyone has their own tastes.

But that said, the skit was funny.

    Merry Christmas.

  • Nancy Walker works really well with these guys.

  • If I were a guest star on The Muppet Show, and I found out that Kermit was home sick, I'd probably cry.

  • I love it@!!!

  • Hmm... Nancy Walker isn't a very convincing actress...

  • RIP Nancy Walker 1922-1992 A funny comedian.

  • everything BUT the target, even the stage lol (:

  • i love this!

  • 7:43 - 7:48 I always love moments when one character whispers an idea to another when they're about to trick a third. I laugh from the anticipation. XD

  • @MWolfL On a related note, this was the first appearance of the Luncheon Counter Monster during the "Luncheon Counter" segment.

  • Poor Fozzie He acts like he got stage fright to me!!!!

  • i <3 the explosion guy!

  • Crazy Harry loves the opening number

  • she played aunt angela on golden girls. love that show too.

  • szkoda ze nie po polsku

  • @julia122fun W oryginalne trudno zrozumieć, ale jest to dość zabawne i lepiej że po ang. jak np po włosku. ;)

  • wow poor fozzie lol the last skit was funny yet a bit odd...haha! And Scooter wanted a stake board lol!

  • Poor Fozzie...

  • But at the end of the Nacy episode kermit looks and sounds fine too me.

  • Even Crazy Harry looked mortified about the blast at the end of the skit, didn't he?

  • Kermit should have left Scooter to host the show

  • I think Kermit and Fozzie are pretty good friends. And Scooter is just the go-fer anyway.

And with all the times Fozzie is out on stage one would think he knows what to do! ... I can see why Kermit thought he'd be up for the task...

Without Scooter Fozzie would be totally lost there, though!

  • Tam Thehamster I think you're right about that it's a good thing Scooter was there to help Fozzie, after all I think Fozzie need a lot help.

  • @TamTheHamster So I'm a year late. :-) Scooter was "literally" the Gopher. lol

  • @TamTheHamster That's true!

  • You are right about Kermit should have Scooter in charge Kidsmtvslv1.

  • But Kermit was ill and his good judgement just wasn't there.

  • I understand that Longfoot.

But do you think Kermit should had let Scooter in charge?

  • The intro to the show is just great. I can´t think of any other show with such a catching intro as the Muppet Show´s.

  • I love how spunky Nancy always was! She's one of my favorite actresses.

  • did they ever name the monster in the intro scene?

  • i'm not shure but i think it is called "green schuff" or something.

  • sorry just found out that was wrong. Sorry ^^

  • so what was its name?

  • Timmy monster :)

  • "I don't think. I know!"

"I don't think you know either!"

That still has me in hysterics. This show had a way of making the corniest jokes sound hilarious.

  • I was expecting Nancy to whip out some Bounty paper towels for a moment...

  • The Luncheon Counter Monster eating the glass remains me of Billy the Kid Goat from 1943 Popeye cartoon "The Hungry Goat".

  • From what I understand. Jim Henson really was unavailable for the taping of most of this show, and they wrote it into the script. Pretty cool in my opinion.

  • That makes sense. However didn't henson provide the voice for the swedish chef?

  • Yes, but that may have been prerecorded, while someone else performed him considering it was only a brief scene.

  • i'll take your word. damn good chance that you know a whole lot more than I do.

  • @LincolnHeightsrocks That IS pretty cool!

  • @LincolnHeightsrocks He did Rulff the dog in vet's hostpitle and Kermit at the end of that episode.

But why Jim Henson was really not available in this episode?

  • @collgoff Its ROWLF the Dog. Not RULFF the dog.

  • @MuppetVoicesAndMore I knew that!

  • @collgoff The Muppet Wikia article will explain that.

  • @LincolnHeightsrocks Why Jim had to leave during filming the Nacy Waler episode?

  • @collgoff Why you speak so strange like little child?

  • @MuppetVoicesAndMore No I wasn't I just want to know! I sthat a big deal for that?
