Would you recommend buying a MBP or iMac for school? I don't really bring my laptop to school and what not so that's why I've thought of buying an iMac. You're doing really well with these unboxing by the way.

@LSGBeats Personally I'd recommend a laptop. A laptop can easily become a desktop workstation with a monitor, keyboard and mouse. That is exactly what I do. It allows me to have a laptop on the go and when I'm home I can just plug it into the keyboard, mouse and monitor to have a desktop station! This display will just help me further because I will only have to plug in one Thunderbolt cable.

Do you live in a dorm? If so you should do a dorm tour, I'm planning on getting the same computer package (15" MBP + Thunderbolt display) and I've been wanting to see how other people set up their desks in such a limited space.

@danielc365 Okay here's how I see it. I just bought a $2500 laptop, why would I go out, buy an iMac for another $1300 and then have two computers with two different HD's to work on. I'd rather have one computer and a display workstation to plug into when I am at home. That allows me to have all my information on one disk and always have it. My laptop is also way more powerful and contains better specs than the base end iMac. I chose the Apple display because it acts as more than just a monitor.
