  • There is nothing- NOOOOOOTHING- like the squeal'y-punch'y "1930's era pickup in an archtop" tone.

A lot of guitar tone narratives are marketing voo-doo- some just plain placebo- but some is very credible. I could have identified the era of this instrument by ear. The highs are a dead giveaway. Hope you get it back. Good luck trying to find another one. They don't exist for sale.

  • @LandonInFlorida I don't understand why your comment was "flagged as spam" and/or removed. Just in case you receive this comment, I want to thank you for your comment. I have not gotten the guitar back. I feel a kind of optimism that maybe I will. I did find another and bought it. It feels just like the one that was stolen--really nice. Thank you. If you Google "Images" for Gibson Recording King, the one with the writing on the back is the one that was stolen from me.

I'll definitely keep an eye out. I'm constantly on the hunt for RK Electric Archtops from this era. If someone sells it online, I'll definitely see it. They are just stupidly under-appreciated.

Is this your arrangement of this song, or is it available online in music/tab form?
