Torley is the best, because he and his colleagues fixed my account. Besides that, he is a great at explaining things in and about Second Life. Its funny that I read a few videos before about a guy/little girl who was dissing Second Life's graphical limitations and bragging about a game called Crysis and and about 'pwning' players. Im sure if Torley wasnt specialized in Second Life but in FPS like this Crysis game, he would beat everyone, that is how good he is.

Trick to get around that.

try logging in without password. Try logging in at home without password, try logging in at last location with password. Usually this reminds the server you are not connected to it.

What you said, has no sense. I had that problem too, and the first lidens I spent was to upload textures, and then you start to build. Now I seldom spend real money with it, what is fun in SL is to build and find your own circle. I was just wandering around Torley's videos and I saw this ugly comment. You don't need to get a job in SL to earn lidens, go to the exploders or something else. I started that way, but you won't gain much lidens with it. find your own community.

No, BCUZ they can make money from people buyng stuff, take away SL Tax, special items. TV is free & people get paid, sUM sites R like that get paid 4 advertising, & ratings. SL can get money by putting Tide Boards on buildings. & the companies would B happy 2.Free land doesn't have 2B a big island, just a square enough 4 a house, if people want more land they can charge them 4 that. Sucks trying 2 sell things & no1 gives u a chance or calls u a spammer, same speaking to sum1.

@Dudex58 If they give say an 8th of an island per resident (which is enough for a decent sized house). Thats 2250000 islands given for free (for 18 million users). Thats not cheap. Also, at your wage comment, if someone thinks that using SL at a basic level is an income then they really need to wake up to themselves. Not making a dig at you but maybe spell a little bit better, it is very hard to read your comments.

I also think that uploading a picture should be free.

that would rocket variety in SL, when people start uploading many types of textures to their creations. also, for new people that want their SL or RL picture in their profiles and can only get lindens by camping, that's a lot of effort.

uploading a picture should be just like another function of SL.

imagine charging 2L to search, 15L to edit your appearance, 5L to teleport (you can always walk or fly to that place you want to be)

Why is Torley a real life male & an ingame female. Well ingame most people look different than their reallife. For instance I'm often a bunny in there. Some people cross genders. It's increased in recent years due to the "Lara Croft" phenomenon where a lot of male gamers would rather look at a female onscreen than their own boring male body. There you have it :)

You will be able to find out if you can even run it on your computer. Last I checked Vista will not run it, but there have been those who say they did... Some video cards will not run it either, you have to check. This game may require you to buy a computer with the right hardware...

I've known about Home for awhile, myself, and it seems pretty sweet. Don't forget to keep in mind that a lot of stuff you can do in Second Life is for free too, though, (people give away plenty of freebies all over the place and build all sorts of stuff that others can come in and do) and you don't even have to buy a PS3 for it.
