Look at the nazi rall...I mean tea party. Wait, but they are both biased conservative political groups who want(ed) to do away with their government during an economic recession.
@REnightmare Nazism means National Socialism. A person who is promoting 'limited' government, curbing government excesses, balancing the budget and liberating their country from debt to foreign banks can not fall under the definition of nazi. But why let logic and reason stand in the way of your pre-conditioned, brainwashed, over-emotional, kneejerk reaction to anyone who objects to democrat policies and petitions for a better way? Democrats waste money - period.
The Democrats have normally set the foundation for recovering the U.S. from an economic recession. However, my concern with the Tea Parties has nothing to do with political standing. What I detest is how an explosion of rage was thrown at a newly elected President within four months of his term; an anger created by the Bush Administration. Bush limited rights. Obama bailed out companies (which I hated) just like Bush to "save businesses"; why didn't they protest earlier?
@REnightmare It has been demonstrated that higher taxes do not generate higher revenues. The wheels of government turn slowly. Legislation can take 5+ years for its effect to show up. The Reagan tax cuts allowed for the 90s boom. He was the last good Republican president I will say. The last good Democrat president was JFK, who started issuing Greenbacks and at least attempted to divorce the US monetary system from the Federal Reserve - a private bank.
@REnightmare Now, the tea party movement began under bush. His excesses were well noticed. At least half of its members are dem/ind. Said movement was virtually ignored by the corporate media, CBS, NBC, ABC etc until it became too big to ignore. So certain GOP shills jumped on the band wagon, like Palin and other windbags, to in my opinion discredit the movement while pretending to be apart of it from the start. This is a typical political tactic, Clinton was a master at it.
Corporate media will lean towards a certain section based on political and economic purposes. NBC tends to support the left while FOX supports the right; networks such as these hit two birds with one stone by exploiting demographs to obtain a steady audience and benefit financially from advertising. The Tea Party is encouraged by FOX because Rupert Murdoch is a conservative who knows how to draw a crowd with controversy. Thus it grew with a biased right-wing majority.
@REnightmare The GOP congress of the 90s reformed welfare, and generated the first surplus in decades over the deficit. The only reason clinton signed it into law is because he knew they had enough votes for an override and wanted to spare himself the embarassment. Unfortunately, those same persons are no longer in office. Purportedly altruistic programs, which are really just new channels for graft, are once again the norm in washington.
@REnightmare So bottom line is, democrats have not set the foundation for economic recovery and there is no way that tea partiers can be reasonably compared to national socialists or nazis.
I see the Tea Parties as the Nazi's because of a parallel in their actions given the economic stability of their nations; that is it. I only look at situations historically. The Democrats always get voted into office during a recession. Recognition of the Tea Parties only demonstrates how desperate these people are for a short term result to their long term problems. The political party system is creating a divide against Americans; conservative group gets help from FOX NEWS.
there's nothing lame about throwing the "teabagging" insinuation back at someone. i hated dubya and his bullying republican drips and i hate "the one" and his bullying democratic drips... kick all their asses out and start over. let's have term limits for congress. it would be nice to get washington"ites" who represent us and not the "fucking" corporations.

Americans already "come out" when we voted last November. And what did Americans say? They said "Get lost, vile Republican asshole bloodsuckers who lied us into the Iraq War and destroyed the economy. And we didn't need no stinking tea bags to say that. We used ballots. And just look how that turned out.
Republicans destroyed the economy? This had nothing to do with the loans Clinton and Carter forced banks to give out to people who couldn't pay them back, which both Bush and McCain opposed in 2002, now did it? It's amazing how ignorant someone can be and argue something for which there is no evidence supporting them.
That's right, Bob. Suddenly everything seems to be Carter's fault. Carter's name appears in every "Conservative's" talking points these days. Carter has been out of office almost 30 years, but, by God, he done us wrong and nothing Reagan and the Bushes did in 20 years in power could save us.
"Conservatism" is just another word for justifying selfishness. Wake up, man. It's 2009 and the country Bush/Cheney left behind is a smoking ruin. So blame
Lol and you think it matters wether or not the government is full of dems. or gops.?
Here's some thought: would there still be tea parties if Mcain were president?
the answer is yes, the tea parties have been around since 07, we didn't like Bush either, it's more of a movement to restore the constitution than whether or not we have a certain party in office.
i would like to think that were the case, however, i personally fell the 'teabag" parties are more an instrument of rush limbaugh and fox news than anything else!
Remember that Bush got about 51% in 2004 and won and left with 28%. We "vote" daily, in polls. And the opinion of people change. Certainly Obama did not campaign on massive bailouts, taking over car companies, doubling the federal debt in 6 years, and leaving us each with $115,000 in federal debt.
The oral sex jokes on CNN and particularly MSNBC on teabagging they had them by the dozens. White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said the White House was "amused" by the tea parties, but that "nobody out there is making $250,000 a year" as if that were somehow relevant.
President Obama said that he was "completely unaware" of the tea party protests. How can it be that the president could be "unaware" of a grass-roots protest movement of this size and scope? Doesn't he have a TV?

what do you do to inheritance? well if you are a democrat you tax it at a ridiculously high rate. Listen he inherited a mess i agree, but to fix a mess you need to fix the problems. Healthcare costs didnt get us in a recession, if you know anything about economics you know it was the destabilization of the banking sector, the capital cushion that the banks DONT have. It is the contagent effect the repeal of the glass stegall and mcfadden act of 1927 and 1933 respectively.
how many of these people complained when George W. Bush lowered taxes (primarily on the wealthy) and started two wars, shredding the surplus he inherited from Bill Clinton?
Lowering Taxes on business owners does increase their desire to hire more employees in order to make more. People are fed up now that the situation has gone overboard. Under Bush's term, we had a fixable deficit. Under Obama's, theres not much room for recovery, its suicide. He is spending 9% more than bush did on the war effort when america is in a recession and spending trillions of dollars for projects and payouts that do not create jobs or fix the economy.
"fixable deficit" under Bush? Oh brother, you're sleeping. Bush came into office with a surplus and quickly squandered that. Obama inherited this mess. You ever had an inheritance? What do you do with it?
Nice play on words, but you are making Bush's mess to be some huge astronomical atomic bomb that just went off. Im sorry, but you need to wake up. The USA's situation and status after Bush left office was fixable. It was a small hole in a leaky dam, easily patched. Obama came along and made bigger holes, bigger than Bush's instead of fixing the already existing holes, and blamed it on bush. Remember Obama said he wouldnt let a good crisis go to waste.
You dont borrow yourself out of recession, and spend your way out of debt. Its so simple, and yet so true. Obama made a lot of empty promises, vague illusions of a better future, instead he is just repeating the same mistakes only multiplied tenfold. Cut wasteful spending, not increase it. He promised no pork, the bill that passed was full of it. He stands by Geinter for crying out loud, the guy is the biggest crook in Washington, he didnt even pay $30,000 worth of taxes. Wake up man!
Think of the system we are in, why it is inherently unstable and corrupt, why china effectively has bankrolled America's spending spree. The bankers own Washington! it has been like that for a long time. That they were completely underregulated is the reason for this mess. Now this money is loaned to the banks and they will pay it back. As for the other spending. Well Our kids will have much more to suffer than just increased taXES anyway! But they will have good infrastructure.
"fixable deficit"??? Who feeds you this crap? What is the definition of a fixable deficit? and in this current situation, where do the boundaries between 'fixable' and presumably 'non-fixable' deficit lie
You have not even asked why we have a mess in the first place? Are you attempting to rewrite history? Clinton left Us in a budget surplus. The economy was quite buoyant. After 8 bush years we are in a mess. After 90 Obama days, it is all his fault? Why don't you say what you really want to say! You people and your ilk are a world of trouble.
Yep, it sucks but what sucks more is that Obama is increasing the debt 4 times more than bush. At that point, people realize enough is enough. Obama made it seem like it would end with Bush, but it didnt.Obama said he wouldnt let a good crisis go to waste, and what he has done is lie to get elected, but now is making everything worse while using the "blame bush" card. He is not responsible for bushes actions, hes responsible for his own. Congress never read his stimulus bill, how bad can you get?
I don't give a shit if one million people show up. In a country of 300 million people and after Fox News advertised the Tea parties for weeks, of course thousands of people will attend. But the polls don't lie, 60% of americans support what Obama is doing with the economy. the rest come to your tea parties.
OK. So there were 50 millions of you but so what. There are more people like me -that support Obama- than people like you. That's why he won the election and that's why his poll ratings is in the 60%'s.
RASMUSSEN TRACKING (April 14, 2009): 35% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. 32% Strongly Disapprove.
In a country of 300 million people only about 20,000 people (99% of whom are senior citizens with nothing better to do) showed up NATIONWIDE at those tea parties. What a great turnout huh? I bet Obama could manage to get at least that many people just by showing up at Starbucks.
C'mon, these are just a bunch of clowns who want to be seen on TV
I was personally in Indianapolis. We had about 5,000 there. There were hundreds of these across the country today.
In addition, one of the problems is that most of the people who will attend are working and productive members of society. Getting out of your job at 3:30pm isn't easy on a Wednesday...unless you live on welfare. Libs are great at that.
There were probably 1,000 people where I was at, in Overland Park Kansas. Supposedly there were 4,000 in Kansas City. Most of the people were not seniors, as you say. I was there, and saw it with my own eyes, so don't try to spread uninformed disinformation.
Maybe before you talk you should look up how much is spent of defense. Try looking up how much of GDP is spent on defense (GDP stands for Gross Domestic Product)...stupid liberal..get a job and learn about paying taxes
That one woman talking about how she wishes the government would spend more on national security and going after terrorists, she's an idiot. The amount of money that goes into defense is incredibly large. She is clueless.
Not anywhere near as large as Obama's reckless spending.
Just so you know Clinton had 1 year with a surplus and 7 with a defecit, Bush was ledt with a 5.57 trillion dollare defecit and like an idiot increased it to over 8 trillion total. Now we have a guy pushing that much in his first 2 months.
All that dough Obama plans to put into "Health Care" could be spent on defense instead.
Iran should be shaking in it's boots right now, not thumbing it's nose at us. North Korea should be begging to talk to us, not shooting off rockets over Japan.

He is spending 9% more than bush did on the war effort when america is in a recession and spending trillions of dollars for projects and payouts that do not create jobs or fix the economy.
Shiftfallout 2 years ago
"fixable deficit" under Bush? Oh brother, you're sleeping. Bush came into office with a surplus and quickly squandered that. Obama inherited this mess. You ever had an inheritance? What do you do with it?
obamamaniacs 2 years ago
Nice play on words, but you are making Bush's mess to be some huge astronomical atomic bomb that just went off. Im sorry, but you need to wake up. The USA's situation and status after Bush left office was fixable. It was a small hole in a leaky dam, easily patched. Obama came along and made bigger holes, bigger than Bush's instead of fixing the already existing holes, and blamed it on bush. Remember Obama said he wouldnt let a good crisis go to waste.
Shiftfallout 2 years ago 2
You dont borrow yourself out of recession, and spend your way out of debt. Its so simple, and yet so true. Obama made a lot of empty promises, vague illusions of a better future, instead he is just repeating the same mistakes only multiplied tenfold. Cut wasteful spending, not increase it. He promised no pork, the bill that passed was full of it. He stands by Geinter for crying out loud, the guy is the biggest crook in Washington, he didnt even pay $30,000 worth of taxes. Wake up man!
Shiftfallout 2 years ago
Think of the system we are in, why it is inherently unstable and corrupt, why china effectively has bankrolled America's spending spree. The bankers own Washington! it has been like that for a long time. That they were completely underregulated is the reason for this mess. Now this money is loaned to the banks and they will pay it back. As for the other spending. Well Our kids will have much more to suffer than just increased taXES anyway! But they will have good infrastructure.
poosnip 2 years ago
"fixable deficit"??? Who feeds you this crap? What is the definition of a fixable deficit? and in this current situation, where do the boundaries between 'fixable' and presumably 'non-fixable' deficit lie
poosnip 2 years ago
You have not even asked why we have a mess in the first place? Are you attempting to rewrite history? Clinton left Us in a budget surplus. The economy was quite buoyant. After 8 bush years we are in a mess. After 90 Obama days, it is all his fault? Why don't you say what you really want to say! You people and your ilk are a world of trouble.

not one.

Absolutely none. Back then they were warring Patriots.
poosnip 2 years ago
bush increased the national debt significantly as well.
devtin 2 years ago 2

But the polls don't lie, 60% of americans support what Obama is doing with the economy. the rest come to your tea parties.
momardrame 2 years ago
you will wake up some day. when your government is ass fucking you too

OK. So there were 50 millions of you but so what. There are more people like me -that support Obama- than people like you. That's why he won the election and that's why his poll ratings is in the 60%'s.

Get facts-in-head before you put foot-in-mouth:
RASMUSSEN TRACKING (April 14, 2009): 35% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. 32% Strongly Disapprove.
PatriotsFightBack 2 years ago
In a country of 300 million people only about 20,000 people (99% of whom are senior citizens with nothing better to do) showed up NATIONWIDE at those tea parties. What a great turnout huh? I bet Obama could manage to get at least that many people just by showing up at Starbucks.
C'mon, these are just a bunch of clowns who want to be seen on TV
momardrame 2 years ago
20,000 LOL you sure?
That's still 2,000 times more than the AIG staged protests but you're going to see a more accurate numbers after the 5 PM protests start.
Prodius 2 years ago
I saw all ages and races of people. Smear all you want, but this movement is over a million strong, and growing by the day.
tsummerlee 2 years ago
You guys may be in the millions but the likes of me are even more numerous. After all that's why Obama got elected over McCain.
momardrame 2 years ago
I was personally in Indianapolis. We had about 5,000 there. There were hundreds of these across the country today.
In addition, one of the problems is that most of the people who will attend are working and productive members of society. Getting out of your job at 3:30pm isn't easy on a Wednesday...unless you live on welfare. Libs are great at that.
DMFDMinister 2 years ago
There were probably 1,000 people where I was at, in Overland Park Kansas. Supposedly there were 4,000 in Kansas City. Most of the people were not seniors, as you say. I was there, and saw it with my own eyes, so don't try to spread uninformed disinformation.

Maybe before you talk you should look up how much is spent of defense. Try looking up how much of GDP is spent on defense (GDP stands for Gross Domestic Product)...stupid liberal..get a job and learn about paying taxes
maryhenderson53 2 years ago
That one woman talking about how she wishes the government would spend more on national security and going after terrorists, she's an idiot. The amount of money that goes into defense is incredibly large. She is clueless.
kainedamo 2 years ago
Not anywhere near as large as Obama's reckless spending.
Just so you know Clinton had 1 year with a surplus and 7 with a defecit, Bush was ledt with a 5.57 trillion dollare defecit and like an idiot increased it to over 8 trillion total. Now we have a guy pushing that much in his first 2 months.
Prodius 2 years ago 2
All that dough Obama plans to put into "Health Care" could be spent on defense instead.
Iran should be shaking in it's boots right now, not thumbing it's nose at us. North Korea should be begging to talk to us, not shooting off rockets over Japan.
Clearly not enough is being spent on defense.
tsummerlee 2 years ago
The US military budget is almost as much as the rest of the world's defence spending combined, you idiot.
kainedamo 2 years ago
Yet we have pimply faced teenagers hijacking civilian carrier ships in otherwise friendly waters.
Obama plans to reduce defense spending, moron.
tsummerlee 2 years ago
Somali pirates? What's that got to do with it?
Yeah, defense spending is the one place where America can afford to cut a little.
