  • Excellent slammers.

  • The actual shooter/director's name was Patrick Kriwanek, his first video with his then business partner Larry Nimmer, who also shot on this. Video Produced by the legendary Howie Klein of 415 records, done in 10 takes, back to back at the Mabuhay Gardens, Summer of 1982. Took a month to edit with no time code and no slates, played in clubs on Rockamerica before MTV.

  • definitely too derivative of the Clash. They evolved into a more melodic band

  • China was a complete sell out. This is what I remember. Long live The Rat Finks!

  • Probably better now than then.

  • Thanks for posting this. This is the first time I got to see my cousin Pat Jones on the drums. We still have the "Condition Red" album.

    Cousin Kris from Pittsburgh

  • this is a great song!

  • Red Rockers just don't cut it here doing their we're the Louisiana Clash thing. "China"'s a great song though as are a few songs off of their second album.

  • The best song of this band is "china"

  • @jisaen THAT songs alright,.. but THIS is much better!

  • @jisaen Sorry, that's their WORST song......

  • Red Rockers condition red lp was one of the best us punk lp's of all time ,there evolution was misunderstood and remaines a great band until there split in 85

  • @mobstar1967 Great comment right here.

  • I had the album "Condition Red" which this song is from. I thought then that these guys were a U.S. Clash band and that was a good thing. Then, they released "China". WTF?! BOO!

  • This was so much a product of their time. I remember 1981 very well myself bordering on the punk rock angst which would carry on till this very day. At this stage of their unfortunately short career, The Red Rockers were sounding remarkably similar to The Clash.

  • This is awesome! I've never seen this before!

  • hey ... i was at this show!

i was dating the music critic for the student newspaper :)

  • Wow. Relevant 20 years later maybe?

  • its on my rodney on the roq album

is this the same band that did china?

    well done guys!

  • YES.

  • RED ROCKERS, SOCIAL DISTORTON ,STIFF LITTLE FINGERS!!!!!!F***** awsome
