  • Your cars a piece of shit...

  • Dam right Americans built the Faulty pedals not the Japs blame the big fat lazy Americans as always they built another defective shit product!!! This country builds nothing right mostly because everyone is to worried about filling their big fat gut with beer and bitch about their crappy long 40 hour workweek. The japs are twice as motivated as we are and say what you want but Toyotas are DAM reliable!!! Go Shit your Chevrolet out your Fat American Hemmeroided ASSAmerican made JUNK!!!!

  • stop reading from the prompt ass

  • your car's or junk

  • never had this problem with any other car manufacturer wtf happened to toyota?

  • the only toyotas recalled were the ones made in America which used cts pedals. the ones made in japans used denso pedal which were not recalled. I find it funny how people blame toyota when its really Americas manufacturers fault for using cheap ass pedals. i also find funny how Chevrolet, pontiac, gmc and doge have toyota beat in recall problems. Chevrolet had almost 5X the recalls toyota did with gmc coming 2nd. make all your jokes but Toyota have some of the best cars. FACT

  • how about re-paying all that mark-up from your vehicles back to the customer's that bought your inferior products? I'm sorry but there is no way a Camry Hybrid is worth $30,000, or a Yaris being worth $14,000. The Accord and Fit are way better value in a car and cost less, and they don't have any recalls.

  • Toyota does not pride it self on anything, all business on this evil planet care for only one thing,Money, no matter who gets hurt, or killed. Toyota,if you really cared, you would not have used such low class parts, and build.

Remember, Toyota, Where Brakes are optional.

  • @De4dSp0t Those parts that failed were manufactured in the US. The parts from Japan didn't fail. Hmmmm..... It seems less about the quality of the parts and more the faulty craftsmanship of Americans. You do know that EVERY company only thinks about money and you are stupid to think that other don't.

  • Watch his eyes, its obvious he's reading a prompter and he put no personal effort towards making this. all he's doing is talking out of his A**.

  • TOYOTA: moving forward, uncontrollably

  • Don't worry. It'a not Toyota's fault, it's the dealership's lazy detailer that doesn't properly place the floor mats properly to the protective hook.

  • Toyota = Fail!

  • So lets see..

    Sticking pedals

    Accelerator failure

    Brake failure

    Steering failure

Whats next, the car is going to randomly catch fi-oh wait...

  • We forgive you guys:) I love TOYOTA! :D

  • Thank you for your patience and understanding? Is he serious? What a useless thing to say. He's so sorry (about the mishandling of this situation) but he didn't say shit about the deaths and other pain and suffering caused by this. Man, I want to be a President of a company. What do you actually have to know to do this job? Hey, what kind of rocket science does it take to make a GOOD floormat. Remember, morons like this earn many millions of dollars per year.

  • 8 million vehicles recalled in the last year...who are you kidding? I owned a '76 Corolla in high school; it was a great car, but I wouldn't risk my family in one today!!

  • His "apology" is just PR - the reality is that Toyota USA is a deficient operation, and it's now showing thru more and more. I have seen both Japan made and USA made vehicles, and there are huge differences in both. There is no way that Toyota USA workers can compare themselves to Japan's Toyota/Hino workers. There is no comparison, and the whole world knows that USA manufacturing quality is poor. Toyota market share will continue to suffer...we will see who comes out ahead (Honda, Ford?)

  • I dont have a car but i accept your apology. it seems siencere. you looks so sad. :(

  • Toyota, moving forward...and never stopping.

  • My 2009 Vibe had the recall done on its gas peddle and mats yet my car still went over 2000rpm's and climbed up to 70 km an hour without touching the gas peddle .The abs and tracktion control lights both went on well this happened .Please explain that to me. My car has been at the dealers for three weeks now and nobody will return my calls.

  • My philosophy about economy cars is that though you don't expect a car that is necessary luxurious you do expect a car that can get you from A to B and with little difficulty. The Corolla with Electric Power Steering is an absolute exhausting chore to drive. You cannot make sharp turns with the car. It is unbelievable that you at toyota are manufacturing cars than drive this badly and selling them. It is unbelievable how bad the Corolla with EPS handles and how tiring it is to drive.

  • Mom has a 2006 Corolla, and NEVER, not ONCE has she had this problem!!

  • July 2010, the Toyota Camry is easily America's best-selling car.

  • Thank you sir Lentz. American people trust you and Toyota thats why you still hold the best selling car in america. american people did not believe all those lies and conspiracy to put toyota down. good job Toyota !

  • TOYOTAS DONT HAVE PROBLEMS.

THE ONLY REASON THIS ISSUE ARRISED IS BECAUSE OF THE AMERICAN GOV TRYING TO INCREASE GM SALES.

    IT'S ALL POLITICS.

  • @ahmer9800 Bullshit fuckface explain the familys killed by sticky pedals then dickweed? GO AHEAD. TOyota sucks if you belive thier bullshit your a moron.

  • @ChevroletTuff a racist uneducated comment from a construction boy. what a jackass. lol

  • @ChevroletTuff The fact that you say 'Toyota sucks' proves that you're the moron.

  • @ahmer9800 Sad truth.

  • If you want to make me into a satisfied customer Mr. Jim Lentz please feel free to message me in order to begin a dialogue about this issue regarding my car specifically. The dealer was no help at all. I am not asking for anything unreasonable from Toyota. I have a very fair request to make.I would like to be made into a satisfied customer.

  • @terminator123abc1 Please give us a call 1-800-331-4331.

  • @ToyotaUSA

I am extremely unhappy with the steering in my 2009 Corolla with less than 7000 miles on it. I have never drive3n a car that steers and handles this badly. There is no fix that is going to make me very happy with this car. I am familiar with the TSB and I am happy to give my thoughts on that. I definately have an opinion about the TSB. The Corolla with electric power steering has serious road handling, maneuverability and instability issues.

  • @terminator123abc1 Toyota sucks ass, trade it in for an AMERICAN CAR. Buy american, support america!!!!!

  • @ChevroletTuff American cars suck. The 'recalls' only started because American automakers are too lazy to put in hard work into their vehicles, so they start rumors like these.

  • peoples gotta understand everything made or every product produced aint always gonna be perfect.

1 out of every 1000 or 5000 will be shitty, just depends on luck.

my pops f-150 transmission blew out at 62000 miles. yeah thats hard to believe but so what it happened does it means ford sucks! no! ford's are fucking sweet! he just bought the 1 out of so many that sucked.

my 07 tundra i've had for 3 years now is great no sticky shit. i havent sent it in for the recal yet.

  • @hank01

they may start out good for testing, but when u actually drive it it might suck, or it might be great

  • @hank01 You should have been like your father and bought an american truck. Toyota tundra is a sissy bitch truck. Support your own country dipshit.

  • @ChevroletTuff<-- this monkey is a racist named Dustin Jordan. he is just a construction boy with no education so ,sorry for him .

  • @ChevroletTuff where is ur girlfriend as you claimed.? lol

    I am waiting for proof......

  • @ChevroletTuff American trucks suck.

  • First of all this Sticky Gas Pedal recall is Fake, I have a Friend who has a Toyota Corolla '09 for almost a year now and nothing has happened to it. Most of the people i know have the newest Toyota Vehicles and none of them dont even have that problem. I always hear people say this "the car doesnt stop!!" did you even use the F@#$ing Emergency brake!?!? It's there for a reason!

  • @ProtoZero67 The only cars that are affected are the one built in North America. The ones made in Japan are fine. The emergency brake won't do much to stop you car going 100 mph. You have to switch it to neutral then press on the brake pedal.

  • Toyota is being demonized overnight we suddenly forgot the car company that the taxpayers paid $50B out of their wallets for to survive

yes toyota has problems buts overhyped the message is simple don't buy toyota and buy GM

  • this must be the only guy they could get that speaks english

  • @stuntman229 really? u have to bring that into this?

  • I think U.S. senate should begin with investigation before propaganda or Tokyo Trials. My concern is what U.S. say in their recent report.

  • Japan is destroying the future of the earth? Japan is one of the most environmentally friendly countries in the world. If you actually knew anything about the country you would know this...You are clearly out of your element here and you are polluting the internet with your bs.

  • recall after recall I just can't trust a company that was just trying to cover up all their problems. I mean just look at the numbers it's like 10 million. 10 mil? r u kidding me? first u make 10 million cars, sell them to us(telling us not to worry), we complain, u guys ignore, more problems surface, people get killed and now ur admitting to what u have done? what is this chess? what until the other guy does something. and if he doesn't, just keep selling?

  • he is sorry because everyone finds out now. All those thing happen 5 years ago why they don't fix back then.?? give me a reasonable reason.

(not mention they balm floor mate first then padale and then US for push back jp auto maker, they never report what happen but balm other thing/people.)

PS: if you understand jp news review, just find the history in you tube and you will be surprise when they discussed about Toyota and US it makes you sick.

  • ALL Fake, they want to destroy a great auto maker.

Now they are hopping to sell more American cars thanks to all these lies.

Why didn't they make good cars since day one, instead of cheating their own people by selling Crap on purpose.

Toyota it has been an excellent car and it will always be

  • @Freccia6000 Unions.

  • @Freccia6000 Buy a toyota? NO THANKS I don't want to die with the accelerator stuck wide open and no brakes. customers have a choice and vote with their wallets.

btw Japan kills whales in whale sanctuaries and threatens countries that protest, like the US, New Zealand and Australia when they protest. Japan at least deserves bankruptcy for that.

  • @PanzerBlitz43 How much money did you get to write all the negative sides?

  • @PanzerBlitz43 Your right customers do have a choice and sorry to say as much as people keep copy and pasting their negative comments about Toyota they are still coming out on top...btw there are many countries that kill whales including the U.S., maybe we went bankrupt for that?

  • @German00Z roflmao..typical japanese arrogance we'll just ignore it and keep so we'll be on top..nice lie and nice try, but most people are not loyal when they die in fires driving crap cars. Only a handful of whales are killed by NATIVE aboriginals. 3 countries kill whales commercially, Iceland, Norway & Japan. Japan is the top terrorist -Iceland and Norway are small compared to Japan's crimes on whales. If Japan wants WWIII again it's going to have a lot more to worry about than bankruptcy.

  • @PanzerBlitz43 Wow WWIII again??? I must have missed that chapter in history class. Oh, that was the one with Japan, Norway, and Iceland fighting the Whales of the deep blue sea right? Get real man...I'm done with you.

  • @German00Z Japan is destroying whales in whale sanctuaries and threatening countries that object-including US, New Zealand, and Australia. Yeah, sounds to me like Japan is declaring world war.. again. Maybe they didn't have enough nukes in WWII. Japan is destroying the future of the earth with its assault on ocean environment, illlegal wildlife trade, ivory, clearcutting asian forests, etc. We didn't want your torture and slaughter in WWII replayed so watch your back, Japan.

  • The american arrogance knows no limits.

  • his reading! :P

  • well when it comes to quality Japanese cars win here in our extremely hot weather, and to see this kind of issue from toyota is a very big shock to us here becasue it rarely happens,,, but when it comes to american cars, well i dont want to be negative but it can be better than that

but realy a pedal issue from TOYOTA ???,,,,wow this is what you get when you assign another company to make parts for your cars (globalization i guess,,lol)

  • @faisalabulaziz1 well ya know i own a 1986 ford f-250 diesel and its pretty sad when a new car has a sticking petal, well thats what you get when you buy jap junk!! lmao,

  • @fordman420ci

ford = car you can aford

    LOOL

  • Why would you want to buy a vehicle that depreciates by as much at 50% as soon as you drive it off the lot??

  • I'm not worried at all, i still feel safe in a Toyota because i know it's not going to break down on me like so many American brand automobile have . I made the switch to Toyota and i wouldn't go back to American, no way. I used to be a huge Chevy fan, but the stats speak for itself. Just ask any mechanic, how many fuel pumps have you replaced on Japanese cars vs american?

  • toyota moving forward. even when you dont want to

  • you know what they say. "Toyota..."Moving you forward"...they never said anything about stopping

  • I wonder why, if so many people say they have a probelm not of them can duplicate it at the dealer ?

  • I don't really understand why everyone insist on saying that Toyota blows? Yeah sure, they lied to cover up their problems. Shame on them. Yes I agree, but lets not be ignorant here. They made a huge mistake. Hopefully they will learn not to be greedy liars and fix what needs to be fixed. I still love Toyota. You cant hate something for making one mistake. I have had a T100 for years. 330,089 miles on it and my baby is still going. The only thing I replace is the tires. So much for "crappy."

  • @XAfroTurfX It's not just one lie, it's a cover up that cost lives. They still don't want to address the real issues. Don't fool yourself, they haven't learned anything.

I still HATE Toyota, DON'T TRUST THEM or their P.R. Department. I'll Never own one.

  • @XAfroTurfX my dodge has 500,000 still runs like new and dont look like a pepsi can

  • Why cant people just shift it into neutral pull to the side and turn the key off?

  • cause they're stupid. Plus, those Toyotas that had the pedal problems, were American made. Americans suck at making cars. Its a fact of life. Toyota = the best!

  • @XAfroTurfX Well, you'd be wrong again. Not all the cars on the recall list were built in America. Toyota = JUNK. I guess ignorance is bliss in your case, you can drive your Toyota death machine.

  • @XAfroTurfX Agreed my friend. All these haters on here obviously dont know a good truck when they see it, or should I say don't know how to use a good truck hahaha

  • I HATE TOYOTA, DON'T TRUST THEM or their P.R. Department. PROFIT BEFORE PEOPLE.

    I'll never buy Toyota.

  • Cars are complicated machines, sometimes they go wrong. The one instance I've heard with the "sticking pedal" is when the user cleaned the floor mats by themselves, and they are supposed to be installed back properly, or else this problem can occur. So in that case, the user is partly at fault. I dont know if the removal of the mat is intended to be done by the end user, I dont own a Toyota manual.

  • @latuman Please give me a Break... Are you going to insinuate that EVERY person who had a problem with Toyota's are to stupid to place a floor mat back into it's rightful position?

  • @jill413 I said "The one instance I've heard..."

Dont you even bother to read? How the hell do you think I would insinuate that every person did the same? You would need to be almost illiterate to think that.

  • @latuman Don't blame me, in the forum to which your comment was discussed, it was a general assumption that you ARE Pro Toyota. MY feelings are, 'Fine, let YOUR family drive one of those "questionable" vehicles.

  • @latuman Please go buy a Toyota, we need the Gene Pool cleaned up!

  • Japan is paying for slaughtering dolphins!

  • how many of these runaway drivers were elderly?

how many fords & chevys had reports of stuck pedals?

just because your brain thinks your foot is on the brake doesn't make it so. user error?.

whole thing smells of a witch hunt?

i don't remember all this attention when fords were catching fire with faulty ignitions??

  • These people are pressing the Kamakazi setting on the dashboard. It adds a spirited driving experience. They are trying to get us back for WWII

  • yeah i have a 2009 toyota corolla S love it i took it in today for the recall i love my toyota i have a white corolla with tented windows and i love the s model i haul ass!!

  • Shut up sell out. Should have bought American

  • HELL NO,! I'd rather die from a software mistake than a zero handling car.

  • hahahhaaa buying american is the worst possible idea in this life

  • Has anyone investigated UAW for messing with Toyota

    vehicles?

  • I do not believe that. That would be a charge of murder. I do not think unions are that stupid

  • What are the chance of Toyota cars suddenly messing up in a control way. You are probably looking at some kind of secret sociey that has the power of steath and trust. and works for Toyota or the chip contractor. What they would need is a "blueprint" for the chip and then the ability to have it produced to their specs, and then a way to slip it into the production process. How would you know? How would you arrest a ghost? If you can't find it; you can't write effective rules for it.

  • As the world becomes more and more decadent, there will be players who try to rip one another otf for their profits. Pay attention. They cannot actually find the problem? That is because the problem can be injected by cell phone or remote control. The inability to correct this makes makes this more and more probablel. Talk to Dick Cheney about it.

  • The only thing Toyota can do to fix this is to monitor their own controller chips by someone that they thoroughly trust. What we have here is the ghost control interface. chip. The actual circuitry is like burried in the chip and cannot be recognized. It can accept an interface program, but it does not hold it. You have to admit "ghost control" is pretty secretive if it cannot be detected. People are too honest to do this? It cannot be done? What happened in the Harry Ried accident?

  • look at my videos, if you want to see proof

  • GM has the pontiac vibe also a toyota, Today car took off on me i was comming to a red light and a mother and her 2 kids where 5 feet away, i thoat i ran one of the kids, pulled the ebrake got the car to stop.

she called the cops I called the cops,

then i called GM and asked them what they wanted me to do? they said your car had the recall done already its safe to drive.

if i want the car towed it would have to be to your house, and you would have to pay for it.

  • My 08 Tyndra pedal stuck twice. I just stuck my toe under the pedal and pulled it up. I was in traffic so I had to act fast. Filed no report. I also had this happen in a VW in the late 60's and ended up going off road and off a 8' cliff. That scared me because it started to dip forward but engine in rear corrected the fall. Seats in the VW broke flattened, shocks helped, frame struck soft dirt, cloud of dust, my back held up, knocked the air out of me, VW arose an took off again. Pulled key.

  • I did end up taking it in now in 2010 but only because my wife hammered me when I told her it happened to me right after I bought the truck. But nothing in 2009 or 2010. After the recall fix I notice the brakes are better than ever. I will still buy Toyota. I do not use the dealerships to repair or service my Toyotas and we have several in out family, because it is 2X what dealer trained small shop owners charge. So do not call me a Toyota shill. I just agree with al qaeda that Toyota is #1.

  • Mistake I have a 2007 Tundra which I purchase in May 2007 at Toyota Carlsbad, California. And I have no intention of getting rid of it and will buy again. I suggested to my son that he buys one while others fear them and prices are down.

  • @itisaduck

    an 8 foot cliff?

That's not a cliff, I do that in my Jeep lol

  • You drive down it. I am talking at high speed. Beside, who cares? I did not choose to go off it. In fact, since there was a drive under bridge it must have been higher. I was just being conservative. I did not measure it. We were airborne and your jeep at same speed would have landed face down, being engine in front.

  • Well, I thought this was isolated. I think I was wrong. My new Rav bucks and they can get the system to tell them what's wrong with it (not the service departments fault). My Rav is a used certified only to learn the rear bumper had been repainted and the toyota dealer bought it at auction. I asked this guy for help and was ignored. I hate my Toyota and trading it in for a different brand. I made a BIG mistake and will take a 7K loss.

  • @HopeValleyRI That's a dealership issue. Sounds like you bought your car at a lame dealership. Jump on the "bandwagon" if you want, but I'm sure you are an intelligent person.

  • @Roelandtstorme. My car bucks when gasing evenly downhill and the computer system can not tell them what's wrong with it. To me, that's a Toyota quality issue. Anyone riding with me asks "what's wrong with your transmission." It seems something is not signaling the car to keep the gas level at a steady even rate. Pretty soon, I will need a c-collar for my neck. Oh, but nothing is wrong with new (used) car according to their engineering team. I will give credit for their attempts, however.

  • he cant even pronounce toyota correctly...

  • A new Prius phony set-up on the El Cahon pass has happened where he says he pulled the mat up and the accelerator and yet he still never put it in neutral, so that YOU would think "its not the mat"

OK I have the solution to get any electronic device to re-fail when it's on the verge of being too old and worn out yet it fixes it's self like the ECU does. That's because it cooled back down. Thus if you put the car in a hot box and back to a cool box and back to a hot box it will REfail

  • on the inside he's saying... "hee hee hee suckers! I has you're money now! So screw you guys!" Oh and uhh BTW... i've never liked toyota or any of those rice rockets, so i'm glad toyota is suffering! HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Toyota................"no matter how hard you try you cant stop us now"

  • Dont forget Chrysler the money still goes to the US side of the company no matter what the hype says....

  • Poor Toyota! x)

  • yeah, i'll buy a american car that only last for 5 years , i'm not that rich you know , i need a car for a longer time that will not drain my wallet, toyota is the best ! i know the'll come around and for the people that made the mistake , go and commit seppuku.

  • PFFT Ive had my dakota for 10 years no problems I change the oil every 3k miles and drive the car like its a truck and not a formula one car.....

  • It just comes down to whoever you want to suport the American economy or the Japaneese economy. Niether car companies are superior to one another so Ill continue to buy from the Big 3. I'd rather support the american side because its hurting more let Japan buy toyotas.

  • Toyota suports probably 25% less workers than the Big 3 meaning supporting the big 3 pumps money into the hands of 75% more people to spend money on our economy. Not to mention they get paid more so they spend more too..

  • @MACROSS312004 Odd, as the 86 F150 I had a first vehicle was 20 years old when I got it and it ran fine.

  • i bought a put option on 6000$ worth of toyota stock about a month ago when i heard about the recalls. one of my best investments ive made this year.

  • Yeah...this Toyota mess seems to be getting worse everday. I'm not a Toyota enthusiast or basher, but I'm sure all that's been going on will make the Toyota loyalists think twice about buying another one.

  • Haven't you all forgotten what we learned in the opening scenes of "Fight Club"?!

  • @ TruongTrieu GM cars are crappy

  • To Toyota: How dare you're trying to compete with US government bailout cars company is USA.

You can stay at number 2, never try to pass GM again, ok.

  • This is just a plan from Toyota to get us back for bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki during WWII...lol j/k

  • According to Toyota "80% of Toyota's are still on the road today." The other 20% crashed cause of the recall.

    Goooo Honda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm sorry, too, Mr. Lentz, but your apology is 5 years too late!

  • sorry Lentz those puppydog eyes wont fool me!!

  • Poor, sad Toyota puppet.

  • Correct...I just finished to read the LA Times and is true and heart wrenching.

The LA Times cites one by one all 56 cases in which 56 people died in suden acceleration and many of the cars involved are not even in the recall list.

    Shame on you Toyota!!!!!!

  • READ SUNDAY FEB 28 NEWS FROM LA TIMES

    front page.

The discoveries made by the LA Times show how much this CEO you see in the video and all executives from Toyota including Mr. Toyoda LIED and intentionally cover up evidence preventing the courts from seeing critical documentacion related to suden acceleration incidents investigated by Toyota.

  • is this the family apology?

  • it is better that the US politicians fixed the current health care systems and the economy and not toyota because many people will die and suffer unnecessarily!

  • I dont get why everyone is going off over toyota's recall, almost every major car company has had major recalls, heaven forbid toyota does too! I have owned 3 toyotas, and to this day, is all I will drive. I have owned, toyota, ford, dodge, chevy, pontiac, honda and mercury. Toyota by far is the most dependable I have come across, and the one I own now is a 98 camry with 233+k miles and has went 60k miles that i've owned it without even a belt breaking. Toyota has my buisness still ^.^

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA toyota sux GO DODGE PEOPLE

  • These accidents and problems are due to HUMAN ERRORS and not mechanical failures.

Furthermore GM had recalled a huge number of cars which are many times higher than Toyota did.

In short, GM and govt have no choice but to go begging Toyota for money in the name of negative campaigning.

    USA propaganda!!!!!!

Shame on you USA for being so greedy!!!!!!!!!

  • God Bless Toyota.

  • @happyboyy8k god bless toyota indeed

  • i love it that this is happening to toyota..ive been telling doomed americans that their day was coming and all of you cruds that helped built toyoat and you helped destroy the american carbusiness..now,my next prayer is toyota goes under, their nothing but ahigh priced hype and crap, and look at this loser president on here pretending he cares...haha...love it..!!

  • Oh that's right, no Japanese part could have failed, could it? Any part integral to that vehicle has to be tested and assured safe or the manufacturer is not doing due diligence. Do you seriously think any auto manufacturer makes all their own parts? They can and will be held responsible. And you should remember, the good ole' USA taught the Japanese everything they know about manufacturing and quality control. To try and blame this on the fact that it was a US based company is silly.

  • the only other thing would be the wiring harness maybe. but if that were so, then there would be plenty of evidence. also, it would NOT happen to as many vehicles as people are claiming that UA is happening on, unless it is a major design problem with the harness, which would ALSO be easy to find during a post-crash investigation.

  • @HerrKuhn928 the US may have taught them about quality control and manufacturing, but it is also true that the Japanese take pride in their work and that they are more diligent than Americans. And as for the recall, Toyota is only human, and we all are not perfect .

  • @bah808 No arguements on their work ethic from me. More diligent...debatable for sure. With all the hype in recent years on "Toyota Quality" and "The Toyota Way" you have to expect them to be a target when something liek this happens. If I claim I'm No. 1 I'm automatically a target for others. It's hard to believe that the brake circuit does not over-ride the throttle once applied. Huge design flaw in the system. Others have this in their systems and have for years.

  • Toyota - "moving forward". What a cruel and insensitive slogan to all those who have given their lives moving forward when they didn't intend to!

  • many jobs..many jobs here

  • If your company chose the wrong company to do business with, then it is your fault to make that wrong choice. Wonder why CEOs and Executives got fired? It is by making the wrong decissions. That is why Toyota is apologizing because when you go to a dealer, you're buying a Toyota, not a gas pedal itself.

  • Toyota is still suppose to inspect their vechiles before release... and who makes the pedals that your trying to belame

  • a company in indiana called CTS something makes the pedal. if you look at the pedal, there is nothing that can possibly go wrong with it aside from something breaking. and then there is no way for it to stick open unless the return spring AND the backup spring both broke. ok, i guess we can all blame ford for their tire negligence, GM for their steering shaft negligence, and toyota for letting retards drive some of their vehicles.

  • You know what...I'd lay money they used the supplier and floor mat as excuses to cover their real problem...that being there are bugs in the fly by wire throttle. Want to bet that pedal assembly only fits Toyota? Thus it is a Toyota part. Your tire arguement holds no merit here. I suppose you know all about Buick too? Toyota makes nothing more than a run of the mill completely boring soul-less car that isn't a damn bit better than any new Honda, GM, Ford or Chrysler product.

  • bugs in the fly by wire throttle system? it's the exact same system used by every auto manufacturer since like '02

ok, forget the stupid pedal, there is nothing wrong with the pedal, it is 2 pieces of plastic, 2 metal springs, a resistor strip, and two small magnets. there is nothing that can go wrong with it.

the floor mat getting stuck over top of the pedal is POSSIBLE, but that happens on every vehicle if you put it in the wrong spot. I can go do that right now with my evo, or my K20.

  • Buick recieved 5 stars overall dependability 5 stars drivetrain dependability 4 stars body and interior dependability 5 stars features and accessories dependability Toyota recieved 5 stars overall dependability 5 stars drivetrain dependability 4 stars body and interior dependability 5 stars features and accessories dependability how is a dead tie placing buick OVER toyota?
  • good question but Buick & Jag tied for first!!!!!!! and with yalls sticky stickum pedals and bad computers yall gonna DROOOP

  • To be honest, I think this is stupid. From the best automakers to the worst, no car will be proven to be perfect forever & have no re-calls. Toyota makes it's name off of security. This is just a way to bring down the automakers b/c of the recession. I mean I'm not saying this should be ignored, but cmon really? My 2004 Toyota Prius hasn't gone berserk & crashed me while on the L.I.E. This is probably just away to give American cars a boost in the global economy.

  • A car like that is a just a box to get you from A to B.

  • Hi, my cousin was in a Toyota a few weeks ago and had a problem with the pedal sticking. He was lucky to get away without a fatal enjury, only having a fractured leg.

I hope you get what you deserve and go out of business. This is truly rediculous.

  • I still drive a 1990 Cadillac Seville with 189,000 and a 2003 Cadillac DTS with 109,000. and Buick is #1 in reliability according to JD power.... NOT TOYOTA

  • Hey Lentz, have you driven a Ford lately?

  • I have!, then I went and bought a Toyota, because the new fords are total shit. I love my Toyota, the pedal isn't even proven. they have done many many tests and have thus far been unable to recreate any problems. and if it IS true, it isn't Toyota's fault, they didn't even design or manufacture the potentiometer pedal used in the cars! this whole thing is to let people know that they give a damn about their public image and their customers concerns.

  • not toyota's fault....? I wonder if they pay ppl to come on here. I rather own a Taurus or Fusion to a Camry

  • Not proven? Why is there a recall then? Not Toyota's fault? They selected the supplier, the basic design and assemble the final product and put their name on it. Lots of parts are outsourced but at the end of the day the finished product is a Toyota product, so they are totally at fault for this issue.

  • No, it is NOT proven, Toyota is doing a recall to show people that they DO care enough to invest the time, money, and man power to look into the problem as deeply as possible.

If you would do some research on the problem, you would find that this is the first recall in HISTORY where

(a)the problem has not been replicable in a controlled environment.

    (b) the problematic device cannot be made to duplicate the problematic circumstances.

  • @meandmyevo No it's not the first time...Audi was accused of such a problem in the mid 80s that was totally dismissed as driver error. Want to know what the difference was? Audi knew they didn't have a problem and stated that, but complied with the demands for recall. This situation is totally different...this manufacturer knew there was a problem, attempted to hide it and has now come forth admitting there was (and is) a problem. No manufacturer would admit to a problem that isn't there.

  • You show me where Toyota admits or even proof THAT the company knew about some problem. not a news broadcast, not someone's personal blog, ACTUAL 100% evidence.

  • @meandmyevo They moved forward with a recall and have admitted they put profits before safety. Mr. Toyoda stated this last week in the hearings which were held here in the states. What other proof do you need? Does God need to tell you to convince you there was and is a problem?

  • where is this admission of profits before safety? I watched that entire meeting, and saw no such admission.

  • i think someone put some virus in their computer system.

  • Internal Memo's boast that Toyota saved millions, maybe there new motto should be Profit before People.

  • what the hell are you talking about? they've lost billions.

  • I'm talking about the Internal Memo released before they got busted and had to do the recalls. If they lost billions because the tried to cut corners at the cost of safety, then good. Should have done the right thing in the first place and quit blaming everyone else.

  • Aww man.. i feel so fricken bad for Toyota! I should help out and buy one when i get my N lisence jajaja! i still trust them! plus people learn from mistakes so they will have even BETTER ars =D

  • I will never buy a United States produced vehicle ever in my life for their attack on Toyota. I have never owned a Toyota but this is an obvious attack on Toyota as the American Vehicle Industry is on it's knees. The people of America must realise this and object.
