  • Best pure NES rock.

  • while I was eating I looked for mansion music to make me seem richer until I found this song and it changed me look no other

  • Thank you so much for the download, i have it for my nes but love to listen to all the time. Best game ever made.

  • Maniac Mansion was hard as hell. Played over and over, but never got close to finishing it.

  • @SamildanachEmrys I have! The 2 people you should choose more is Bernard the nerd and Razor the punky musican girl. ^~

  • "everything has been destroyd execept for a radio in a 20 mile radius "

I've only ever played this on PC, I found out yesterday it was available on NES too xD God, I need it ><

  • @MiotaLee u should try day of the tentacle :D

  • @gaffelnskje I've already played it a couple of hundred times :)

  • @MiotaLee A remake was also on the SNES I beleive but I have never played it, apparently besides the graphics being slightly more updated people have said the music changed aswell.

  • OMG A VID WITHOUT DISLIKES!!! :D

  • This to me was the best NES music. Listening to it actually gives me goosebumps. Being a kid and playing this game all day long until my eyes were strained. Never giving up, but yet never beat it until the age of 25. Life was sure simply amazing!

  • You must be crazy to have the idea of putting an envelope and a jar of water inside a microwave in order to stick the stamps on the envelope......only one of the best games of all time can be beaten by that way :D

  • I wish someone would port this to SNES with updated graphics and music ;]

    well maybe not music!

  • @RyogaXvX

There's a freeware version of the game made with.... Adventure Game Studio, I believe it's called. The game uses an interface similar to that of it's sequel, Day of the Tentacle and the background music thereof as well. The interface is less convoluted, the visuals are around what one would expect from an early-ish nineties Lucasarts game. The only downside is that there's no personal themes as it's not natively an NES game and the original lacked those. Google Maniac Mansion Deluxe.

  • I wish someone would port this to SNES with updated graphics and music ;]

  • I love Maniac Mansion!!!! Working on a Novel Version of this game I making it more in Depth on how the students know each other and such!!!

  • @DareDevilWithoutFear You go, man!! :) I'd love to get an autographed copy of your novel when you get it published. :) Keep me posted.

  • "Developer: LucasFilm Games"

Actually, the NES conversion was developed by Realtime Associates under supervision of LucasFilm Games (a.k.a. LucasArts).

    Here's an observation:

Another game developed by Realtime Associates, "The Rocketeer" published by Bandai, has instruments that sound very much alike, suggesting the same sound programmer for both games in addition to the same developing company.

  • OH MY GOD I LOVED THIS GAME AND THE MUSIC!!! i only knew one way of beating it though...

  • I think my way of "beating" it was blowing up the whole house and me too lol

  • Awesome soundtracks dude!

  • i need ringtone now!

  • I love this game!!!

  • This tune is just so epic.

  • I remember wishing the PC version had the NES music.

  • @Stazmo2 lol, it's so true. The PC version has so much better gameplay and graphics, but the NES music is 8-bit gold.

  • @Stazmo2 There are 2 different versions of this game on pc (I'm not talking about deluxe version), v1 has simple intro theme ( search [Intro][Retro PC] Maniac Mansion ) , v2 - similar to NES (take a look Maniac Mansion Intro (PC/midi) ), and better then this

  • @rikkeeked I meant the old Lucasarts version that came with like 5 floppies and a write protection booklet. Damn that was like 1990? Then i got it for the NES by trading some kid Bad Dudes and RC Pro Am for it.

  • @Stazmo2 Hm, and I was about 1 year old=), but I remember how many hours i spent with comix zone and wrestlemania, and my first pc game was some space shooter, that my dad wrote about 1992!

  • @Stazmo2 Same here.

  • This is such a kick ass opening theme
