  • I also hope that one day our children will be able to mix and play together without worrying what colour of skin they are or what social or cultural background they are, I feel lucky to have been taught by my parents to embrace diversity instead of fearing it.

mid next year I am moving to the USA with my wife and I would like to open her family up to other cultures. USA such a beautiful country with beautiful people , but why not stand united like we are( yes I am counting myself in :) meant

  • Cool stuff bud.

  • This is beautiful. I am of mixed lineage, and I am very proud of both my mother's Native heritage, and my father's Irish heritage. I stand behind the fight for dignity of the indigenous peoples. Keep educating and keep moving forward.

    Blessings~

  • Thank you so much for your support and encouragement.

    -Solly

  • Well We're the generation thats gonna change the outlook for our people. Why do young native men think they're african american?

  • we are domed always have been since they came here...just like they do... glorified it and still making us americanized .. u cant change my mind.. let them give back land we lost and let us make our own land and rules then i might start believing..never happening i know.. but im sure if a dissaster happen ..we see who lives on

  • You are so correct, we never had a chance, there were just too many. I t is the same where ever whites have gone.

  • This is so great and wonderfully said I truly appreciate whoever was responsible for making this.

  • High five to ya! Im glad you like it... Im surprised it gets so much hits, well compared to my other videos anyways... heheh... but The Message... I pleased that so many are hearing the message...

    ~Solly

  • there is no back to normal life order, unfortunetaly.I wisch I\was born 200 years ago, that would help to save the world !!!

  • Maybe that will be possible, who knows what 2012 will be about. Everyone's saying "a shift in conscienceness"?

  • I see someone has already pointed out what a gift to our people you truly are! Yes, we need everyone to see what you have created. I do believe our day is approaching and I am excited and exhilerated to see it happening. Good people from all across our Mother Earth need to come together and be included! They support our cause, we need them!

I want to create a website to search and document even the slightest Native blood in our citizens. When we increase our numbers we will have a voice.

  • Thank you very much for your kind words. I wish the Obama Administration would sign on to the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. That would be something for sure... Your idea about defining and reclaiming our own Citizenship is a great one! You'd have my support... I hope that you had a great summer!

    ~Solly

  • I'm right behind you.

  • I'm neither infront nor behind. But, I'll walk side by side with my Brothers & Sisters into our Better Tomorrow.

  • I just wanted to say thank you for this - it's inspiring - I'm latin american of Mapuche heritage - our people know all about the struggle. my children are mixed my husband is Plains Cree - my heart and soul is committed to your people's struggle because it is our own - we're strong as one... as our people say "the people united will never be defeated" stay strong - I wanted to ask is that you speaking? who's the voice

  • Hey thanks for the comment! Yes that is me speaking... Have a great summer!

    ~Solly

  • Solly! have you any idea how inspired your speech is? I mean seriously - it's the most eloquent and pasionate speech I've heard in a long time - the native communities need speakers like you - you're a born leader - keep going forward strong and inspiring your people with strong words. Much respect and peace to you

  • Well thank you roastedsmurf! I see that this video has gotten a few hits, but I wont be happy until 1,000,000 people recieve the message! Thanks for your kind words...

  • I have know clue what their saying but I loved it. Peace to my friends of all colors and species

  • Es una vergüenza, el trato que recibieron los indios.

  • AWESOME RACE OF PEOPLE

  • THE GIFT OF THE EARTH THESE PEOPLE ARE

  • 5 stars!

  • This is so beautifull i have many native friends i am from Scotland and in love with my Apache warrior he is in az just now im here in France but we will be together soon the only thing scares the hell out of me is that he wants me to live like an Apache dont know if im strong enough for that all though im a very strong person .Wont be easy for sure as he lives the old Apache way and lives of the land no more tea or coffee for me gees love this video

  • my kookum just passed away. this song is for her. she never tried to live in the past and she lived the best she could and im proud of her.she was a former residential student but they never broke her spirit .this is for my special kookum.

  • I think that it is the natural course for us to get closer to nature and we are beginning to see it now with this whole green movement. It creates oppurtuinity, saves resources, protects the planet, cleans the enviroment, increases the quality of life for everyone

  • when i liten to this song i think about our ancestors struggling to keep the balance and harmony that was apbrubly destroyed. through these trails we learned to be more of who we are in nature. at least for some. it defies forgiveness and strength to move on to a better road and equality through hard times.

this song gets to me all time.

to my grand parents: former residentail students

  • thank you for your words of strength, determination and the ideal and pursuit of justice in these lands.

  • I love this video, thanks for posting especially adding the song with it, great work!

  • i give thanks

  • I am Aztec, Apache, and American(white). These cultures all were at war with each other. I never had the luxury to take sides. But I do know that the Natives lived as one with nature. A civilization that will never be understood by greedy, materialistic, outsiders

  • Awesome........

  • Damase19, really and truly i don't even consider us American Indian or Native American because we are older then America and Canada we are native to this beautiful country. and REAL indians are from INDIA *wink* lol

  • You are right! Cool cool! Wink*

    -Solomon Cyr

  • What doesn't make sense to me about columbus is this. How in the hell do you "discover" land when someone is already on it?It's like sinbad, the comedian(not pirate),once said "It's like walking onto somebodys porch and saying 'I discovered this porch'"lol.Good analogy from one of my fave comedians.Beautiful song too! Thanks for posting this video Solomon Cyr.

    xoxo

    ~Chihiro-chan =^_^=

  • I think it would all come down to the idea that the "civilized world" (their words, not mine) saw the Native Americans as savages, therefore their being there first didn't matter. I hate the fact that we still have a Columbus Day today - I mean, really, he was a horrible man.

  • I agree with you finch. I think the we are living right now by destroying nature is not civilized at all. We should live in harmony with nature. I believe there will be a time when our descendants will think of us as Savages and uncivilized who didn't understand the world at all. Its just the matter of time.

  • Having Columbus Day is the equivalent of celebrating Hitler for his Genocide of the Jewish people - Enough is enough of this ignorance of celebrating criminals and murderers as if they're heroes - absolutely ridiculous - Power to the people, Native and all others who are to this day being abused and oppressed by the powers that be - "darling don't cry" we will right the wrongs

  • I so hear ya Raostedsmurf! Power to the people! All people!

    ~Solly

  • lol! well said

  • @NightroadxAngel Thanks for the comment and the perspective! Super high five to ya!

  • Absolutely beautiful & so right on

  • Aaniin my brother. Very powerful words you gave at the beginning of this video. Demonstrates the struggle of our people everywhere. We must fight not only for ourselves but for the respect and dignity of our grandmothers and grandfathers. I will fight for this as long as I am on our mother earth. Gchi Miigwetch ndi Niichkenh

  • Does someone know who is speaking at the beginning of this video?

  • That is me.... Solomon Cyr. I am reciting 'The Signals for Change' which I wrote about three years ago. :)

  • Beautiful video and confident message.Glory to all great native American people and their great leaders, amog others, Red Cloud, Sitting Bull, Satanta, Seattle, Geronimo, Crazy Horse.

  • its not aboriginal, its amerindian like me

  • Love it! Aboriginal people YAAAAAAAAAAAA!

  • I like this video coz there is wizdom in the first part and the song is nice 2

  • Wicked Love Song..

  • what a powerful message and a wicked good song...

  • Aaniin, ezhi ayaayaan my brothers and sisters! This is an awesome video. We all, not just nishnabes, have to strive to be better everyday so that we leave this world a better place for our little ones. Nzaagaan to all my brothers and sisters in this world. We are all one and need to unite against the tyrannical rulers of this world. Bbaamapii Gwaabmin.

  • Me just wuv this....way to go....

  • if you WANT to know native americans, travel around the all american continent and you will have a sorprise, the kind of people they are.wonderfull people,a cant not xplain my self how this people can be so nice whit the people who destryeD their ,EVERYTHING but for me is not a sorprise becose i know them and they are just like that.nice by nature thats the reason white man destruyed them. They dont fell respect for nothing.

  • this really makes me think of what our ancestors went through trying to fight for our rights...it's really sad when you think of how many people we lost during these times.

  • The native americans (specially the aztecs) from Mexico were murdered by:

    -The spanish conquerors.

-The diseases the spianiards brought to the "new world" smallpox, variola, measels, etc.. the population by 1531 of 10 million aztecs dropped to only 2 million.

-Forgoten by modern justice and society, native people in this country are dying of famine and other problems every day.

Hope that some day AMERICA (the whole continent) respect this people.

  • the vision of this video should also include all indigenous peoples in Latin America as well.

  • no just native amricans lol jk

  • I NEED THIS VIDEO VIEWED BY AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE. PLEASE FOWARD THE MESSAGE TO WHOEVER YOU CAN. EMAIL, LINK, PROMOTE PROMOTE!

    Thanks

    -Solomon Cyr

  • Can we repost onto our own channels if we rightfully give credit where it's due?

  • Beautiful video and beautiful words. The song is so pretty. So much feeling.

  • George Bernard Shaw once said that America was the only country in the world that had progressed from Barbarism to Decadence without the intervening stage of Civilisation, he was of course talking about the non indian history of America!!

  • you are doing very good at what you do. i proud of you .

  • im glad that im part cheroke and sue indain.

  • what is a powwow? i'm not insulting indians but i dont know such thing because i'm asian. thanks

  • Essentially a pow wow is more when a reservation or group of reservations gather together for memory and tradition (mostly by dance). Some of these are open to the public-some are considered private-possibly for the deeper meaning of the culture.

  • iam white and i say long live native americans i am in full support of you i want you to get your rightful freedoms back it was'nt right what happened to you by my people and i am ashamed to be white because of what my people have done to not only you but other races and cultures and still do.

  • the time is NOW for a NATIVE AMERICAN NATIONAL HOLIDAY!

  • Yes I Agree with you, My Friend, We definitly need a Native American National Holiday

  • OMG I am so lonely for my fellow canadian ndns! Anyways, please feel free to add me, anyone, on Facebook. My name is Solomon Cyr (thats the name you can search me with. Im pretty sure im the only Solomon Cyr on Facebook. S.C.X.

  • iam white and i say long live native americans i am in full support of you i want you to get your rightful freedoms back it was'nt right what happened to you by my people and i am ashamed to be white because of what my people have done to not only you but other races and cultures and still do.

  • I hope you get your home back and rebuild your culture with the added advancements that can be of use. I am so sorry this happened. To you and to humanity. I want to go back to Ireland and I want you to be here and have a peaceful sharing world. Although my personal ancestors were not part of the violence that you met, it was because of that violence that they felt free to come here. And I have always felt I do not belong here. Not saying it's the right way to feel, just the way it is.

  • My friend, you have the right to be here. Our people have never wanted to be stingy with the land. The land was never ours, it belonged to the Creator. We are custodians to the land. Our connection to the Creator makes our connection to the land sacred.

  • Most of America doesnt realize this, they beleive that we Native Americans are connecting our race to the land when in fact it is ABOUT the spirituality. So dont feel like you dont belong here, just remember that your in God's Country. Peace and fairness should indeed come from that.

    Sincerely,

    S.C.X.

  • can't wait till pow wow season, this song is so beautiful. see ya all on the pow wow trail. indian forever.

  • This Song resonates. The Pow Wows season is over now in N Y. Songs like these will keep me going till the Pow Wow trail opens again. Mitakuye Oyasin, Taino Ti, Bomatum.

  • The Pow Wow Season has ended in Ny for now. Songs like these will keep me going until the Pow Wow trail opens again. Mitakuye Oyasin, Taino Ti, Bomatum

  • darlin dont cry, when i leave usa. if u like i take ho(with).. Great song.

  • One nation people, one nation!

  • Americans come to my country and say "We have no history" I say to them 'You have a history as old as mankind and you tried to destroy it. I say to them "You call yourself Christians and yet the native American knew and obeyed the philosophy of The Great Spirit, a thousand years before The Great Spirit sent his son to Bethlehem.

  • When Christianity first arrived and was explained to the Native Americans, they understood completely. The long story, the philosophy, the way of life. All of it.The problem came, when those who had told them of Christianity didn't seem to understand. Many who call themselves Christians nowadays still don't understand Christianity.

  • Wakan Tanka Kici Un

  • yee are u speaking stoney???

  • what does this mean?:o

  • AHNEEN!

  • please don't do that. don't generalize. saying "you tried to destroy it" to someone today is unfair. the same people that destroyed it are trying to destroy us all now. no country is safe from what is happening now. the people of all nations and countries must get ready for a fight against the worst tyranny mankind has ever seen. not all americans are dumb enough to say we have no history.

  • Love this video. It's righteous! The music the words, all strong. My heart dances with new strength, new hope, and a sense of justice that I know will come from the Creator alone.

  • I understand & have always sympathised w the plight of Native Americans. They r absolutely right that they WILL win the fight, because the Creator of all things will help them. All mankind will be united. This is 1 of God's unfailing promises. Already this is occurring. NA life has been so close to truth & reality because of their purity of heart, unlike many 'enlightened' civilisations.

  • I love this song, it's so true. I kind of like the first part where she sing's "I met him on the pow-wow trai' he was singing and I was a dancer, to the heart beat drum the heart beat drum, long summer nites of falling in love, don't never wanna part, dont ever wanna say good bye" I love this part. I all so love the red bull part. Keep it strong people.

  • When people want to hide the wrongs they've done they always quote some "scientific" discovery, much like the fascists did to prove they were superior. They ancient civilizations on this continent have been hidden, destroyed and silenced so that the American genocide is hidden. Native Americans are treated like an extinct group of animals. By the way all people supposedly came from Africa and so???. Science is as true as the people who fund it.

  • Thank you so much for your support on this one. It does always seem that whenever thier is something that Native Americans can be proud of, white scientists seem to just want to attribute our greatness, or our beauty to something else. Only the hateful use science in order to try and diffuse greatness... Greatness is an attribute of truth! Lies can never demish it!

    S.C.X.

  • Wachiye, Well put! I can see what you see. It will come. I have faith in the Creator.

  • Whatever theory you beleive in is fine... Scientifically it probably can be proven that Native Americans derived from another continent, and if so then fine! If that is the case then the principle of Terra nullius should now be in the favaour of Native Americans.

    S.C.X.

  • dam red bull sang in this. his stuff is the best their is. i am full bread indian and this is my favorite song. I am young and still learning the traits of my people but i feel i understand the true meaning of our people and turtle island. Keep dreaming, our dreams will come true.!!

  • Thank you! YouR words are very kind and full of truth... remember that when lies rule the day, telling the truth is radical!

    S.C.X.

  • Just totally awesome, yet so sad.

    Breathless...........

The eagle shots..perfect to the song.

  • Cannot Steal Our Souls/They have raped our souls

As they raped Mother's flesh/They tried to kill us off,/Breed us to extinction./They did not count on the strength/Of our Peoples to survive/To live on despite great hardships/You cannot kill the Earth./

    .../And so, we live on.
