It works perfectly, I only put tape on the sides of the pack because my batteries fit really tight. If it is still disconnecting you should try different tape or maybe put an extra piece on each side of the pack.
@SaraAB87 some of the old batery packs were loose on the inside, too. but you make an interesting point. maybe microsoft is trying. anyone find this problem with newer controllers?
@Richy0money I have the new controller, the Call of Duty MW3 one, it depends on the batteries you put inside because all batteries are a bit different in size. The pack was fine a couple months ago but yesterday it just started disconnecting but this solved it, the pack no longer moves around slightly.
@KooGuh as long as the batteries fit in the charger with the tape on them, they should be fine. however i dont use individual rechargeable batteries, so use your own discretion.
i broke that pack in half pushed that conection label that dot on the front of it that conects to the contoller i pushed out that a bit taped it togher wrestled into the contoller whoala
Thanks Richy, This was genuinely annoying me! For those reading this, I tried with parcel tape, and it just didn't cut it! Electrical tape is the way to go! Thanks again!
Thank you very much for the tip. I had to add 3 layers instead of 1 because all I have is scotch tape which is thinner. But it still worked so thank you.
But then then after a month and a half the thing started disconnecting AGAIN even though it was connected STRAIGHT to the xbox. So of coarse I was like "Oh for fucks sake!" I was playing Mw2 one day and I was stalking this guy and I was about to jump off the stairs and 360 air knife him for an epic final killcam but then my controller disconnected and he turned around and shot me because I couldn't do anything and we lost the game. I threw that thing so hard at my wall there is now a huge dent.
I bought that piece of shit red controller with rechargeable batteries. I treat my video game equipment like a baby but after a month of usage the battery pack wore out and didn't fucking work anymore, so i said ehh no prob I'll just use regular batteries with it. Then I was playing gta 4 one day and whenever I would fire my shotgun it would disconnect. Of coarse I was like... "Fuck is this shit?" So I just used the cord that came with it to plug it directly to the xbox....
@MrAnimeGuru sounds to me that it isn't just a loose connection, I've found xbox controllers to be notorious for loose connections, if that isn't the problem you may have faulty hardware, sorry this tip didn't help.
i love you man! HAHAHA! thx
