yes you're probably right. I think theyre ascending sus2 chords, but I couldnt figure them out on the uke. The bassline and the keyboards are also wrong while yer at it
Pure fucking Genius. Coming to you all the way from NJ USA Probably the only surviving Stranglers fan in this area. But what about the big ending? I know you can add it on.
BOX BEDROOM PUNK RULES! A new movement is born! Fantastic! Absolutely enjoyed that! You should send the video/download link to the BBC's Jools Holland show and get a well deserved place on the show. Awesome!
I'm a long-time Stranglers fan, and I enjoyed your version of this great song, and your video editing.
You've managed to capture the bounce and buzz of the original perfectly, and managed to successfully add a Fornby-esque dimension to it! Well done that man!
Goodbye Toulouse is the perfect song from a musical point of view. The individual parts of each instrument are so good. keyboards, guitar and of course the bassline which is one of my playalong favorites (my fingers hurt just thinking about it). I think that is why I like this version so much- you draw those parts out beautifully.
I have to say the middle section of the song is superb in both versions. Every instrument is... Ahh, I could go on about it forever. But you get the idea :)
I seem to have not noticed this for the last month. Never a big Stranglers fan so I don't know this one, but it was wicked anyway. Plus I love the copy of T.V.O.D / Warm Leatherette on the keyboard for maximum one-man-band synth cred. Do you do these in iMovie, Final Cut or what?
...I guess the Stranglers should take a close look at this: such a perfect tribute ! hats off !! comon hugh, jj, dave and jet, post a few comments here please !
I'd like to do a video featuring my one-woman "overdub band" but am totally new to doing anything with video. Any tips!? Is this do-able in Movie Maker?
