Robert I just came across your video. I think you have a wonderful personality and your advice is awesome. If you look on my channel I wrote a song called "Father What's My Name" I recorded it in the bathroom. The pitch is off, but the song is truly from my heart. It was written during a very low point in my life. Not a lot of folks (family) get this song. It's not perfect. I'm not trying to be Bey or Aretha...just me. Can you give me some advice? Thanks

No one. The only time I am told that I sound like someone else is when I am intentionally doing an impression.

Every 3 years or so - I mean, it's so rare and then I NEVER ever hear that I sound like that person again.

For instance I heard Sammy Davis once, Johnny Hartman once, Rick James once, etc.

...but unless I'm trying, I really don't sound like anyone else. My voice is almost as odd as Eartha Kitt's so it makes sense.
