  • He continues to amaze me!

  • Oh yeah elbowing the keyboard ftw!!

  • Chills, man! He's still got IT!

  • I saw him in Mexico City.... I REALLY wasn't expecting this song in his repertoire, and it's one of the wildest, best songs from the Beatles' catalogue. Needless to say, I went APESHIT!!!

  • this is my FAVOURITE Beatles song, and i hopehopehope that he plays it when i go to see him next month!!

  • Still sounds the same indeed, wouldn't think he still performs this piece

  • HE´S STILL A BEATLE !!!!

  • he sounds the same!!! :D

  • This is so amazing. I cried when I first saw it, like a crazy fangirl, grabbing my face and all.

  • arthritis is a musicians worst nightmare

  • ledbelly didn't record 'til he was in his 60's after he spent many years in prison for a self defense killing and when he did the smithsonian recorded him on metal records,at least that's how the movie goes :)

  • For his age, he's not that bad.

  • quality

  • I WAS THERE!!!! IT WAS TOO AWSOME! xD

  • This is SO good on the new DVD Good Evening New York

  • Wix is a great keyboard player, he has been with paul since 1988 or 1987 I think. He nails every sound the beatles and wings used on the keyboards. His work on the keys is impecable.

  • Yes my friend, you noticed!!, same as in Shea Stadium,1965 when john played the Vox organ with his elbow and the other bealtes started laughing in histerics about it.

  • Perfect!!! :D

  • anyone notice at 1:39 wix is playing the organ the same way lennon did at shea with his elbow? quality wix

  • Still he can sing and scream this song in the same key, unbelievable!!!

  • agreed its a great peforemance......... wait all alone think of nobody else, you still moan keep your hands to yourself, im down....

  • i can not believe he still sings as he was 20´s and he is 66 or something right?

  • 67. :P But yeah, totally agree with you. He's amazing. :)

  • Yeah, I don't know how he does it, in the mid 80's he seemed to have lost a bit of voice, but he totaly recovered again in the 2000s. I think he is one of the few singers who still sings as high as he was when he was young. Incredible!!!!, Paul 4 ever!!!!

  • I wish he played this in Halifax. Still awesome show though!

  • Ive listened to the Beatles, (and Paul, Wings) for 30 years never get tired of it.

  • Man, he still sings as high as he was in the beatles, and in the song's original key. I also sing this song onstage (im a professional muscician in Chile) and after I do it my voice is worn out, and im only 38!!!! Paul is unbeliebable, he is and always be the greatest muscician, songwriter, performer ever.Cant wait till he comes to Chile to perform.

  • Incredibly McCartney still rocks after all these years...we should celebrate...his likes will NEVER be seen again..

  • Long Live Macca! He Keeps The Flame Burning!

  • No offensive to Paul's band because they are fantastic but the original performance at Shea is just simply amazing.

  • @jericho360no shit it was better the beatles are better than everyone and anything,.

  • Those look like amazing seats. I was one level off the floor and the stage was directly ahead of us. I though they were great seats, but this is just amazing.

  • the fact that he can still sing like that for his age is unreal....i was there one the best days of my LIFE <33333333

  • I love this song!

  • hello rethink. John and Paul did NOT trade vocals on Strawberry Fields- it was all John. And yes, John did once perform I Saw Her Standing There, but neither Paul nor John nor George (nor Ringo) has ever touched I Want to hold Your Hand or She Loves You lin concert.

  • hahahaha!!!!! 1:40 wix plays with his elbow!! just like did at shea!!!!

  • Paul's voice sounds more similar when he sings screaming songs like this and Helter Skelter.

  • Well, John sang lead on Strawberry Fields, and Give Peace a Chance, but it hasn't stopped Paul from performing them live. And I'll Get You, and Please Please Me were - I believe- John solo's as well,, but again, Paul has included them in his concerts.

  • They traded lead vocals on Strawberry Fields John, Paul and George pretty cool how its hard to tell them apart. John sang I Saw Her Standing There in concert. Did he do something wrong?

  • This song has an energy that is contagious

  • he pulls it off no problems at all WITHOUT lowering the key like a lot of bands do now for live performances,he IS the real deal no doubt about it !!!

  • Great choice. I'd also love to hear Lovely Rita, With a little Luck, Give Ireland Back to the Irish, and many others, Any reason why Paul has never included I want to hold your hand and she loves you? - two of the biggest hits anyone's ever had.

  • he should do oh! darling

  • He does lust not this concert. Just typein Oh Darling live. Freaking AWESOME !

  • he could probably pull it off once if there was no tour and he was doing a one night show only. he would have no voice for a few days after doing that song. I'm pretty sure i read that after so many takes and after doing the final take he hadn't much of a voice left for about a week.

  • John sang lead in both She Loves You and I Want to hold your hand..Paul was harmonizing. Although Id love to hear him sing them too, it just would'nt be the same.

  • i wish this gig was on dvd

  • Don't worry, it'll be released on DVD. Proper DVD of course. I believe all three nights were taped to be packed for a DVD.

  • My dad's worried about me singing the whole time, but seeing this...I'm not sure I'll be able to make a noise once I'm there....I'm so happy i could barf a rainbow!

  • oooohhh, I know exactly how you feel. I'm going to Fedex Field tomorrow, and I'm soooo excited!

  • I am too!!!

    I cannot wait!!!

    I'm soooo exited!!!

  • Cool indeed !!! I was there on the floor section B.. Macca was at his best. I've been lucky enough to see Paul all over the planet with most being great seats. This due to being in his new and old fan club which he reserves seats for his club members. I had the opportunity to actually meet Paul back in the late 80's in Charlotte,NC. I've played in a beatles tribute band since 1988. And to meet my Fav. muscian was a dream come true !!

    Rock on Macca...

    Paul

  • what tribute band??

  • We are getting up there in age but you might have heard of us as the Roaches ????

  • Cool, they did that tune in 65 at Shea, and he's still doing it there 44 years later. That's so damn cool.

  • Great stuff! Don't think I've heard Macca do this live post-Beatles

Wish John could be there to play the keyboard with his elbows...

  • I've loved Paul since I was 13 -- and that's a long time. He still rocks my world! Thanks for the great video! :-)

  • Thanks for the great video of the great Sir Paul!

  • i love "wix" with the elbows on the keyboards 5 days later & i cant stop talking about this concert

  • I went to see paul last week to his last performance in new york. make sure to check some vids I uploaded in my profile. the concert was great. so great.

  • paul is greatest all around singer, songwriter, musician, performer, of all time. the king.

  • damn right

    :-)

  • 1000% correct!!

  • I was there Friday && it ws so awsome X ]]

  • me too

  • Seen Paul 90,02,05 and every time I walk out thinking it was the best concert I ever saw. Citi Field 7/21/09 no different. Damn just think if John was still around and the two of them were together what a show it would be. (Just dreaming} Hope Paul returns Sept or Oct Citi Field should be availible. Yankee stadium will be busy.

  • I was there Tuesday night! AMAZING!

  • no twitter /mccartneybrasil

noticias e curiosidade sobre Beatles e Paul McCartney

  • i was thre tues i was front row!! rite up agianst the rail it was incredibleeee... and i got the setlistt!!!!

  • Was there tues night!Awesome!!!!!!!

  • I was also told that there were no Ringo or any other special guests.

The rumor was probably from the people on the craigslist who tried to sell tixs for more money because of another famous name.

  • Just got home from tonight's Citifield concert. No special guests came out

But it was a FANTASTIC show!

  • i was there too! wasn't it awesome!?

  • So amazing!

I loved how he pulled out the different Beatles tunes, and wings and new stuff!

  • i know right! and when everyone was doing the chants for hey jude and give peace a chance was unforgettable.i had nosebleed seats but it was still a night to remember.

  • Who needs special guest when you've got Paul!

  • I saw the Friday night show Billy Joel. It was probably the closest thing to a Religious experience I'll ever have. Paul has still got it that's for damn sure.

  • The "religious experience" feeling hit me too, right around the start of "Hey Jude." And I ain't religious! Just an amazing mood in the house.

  • I was there Sat. night and it was my very 1st Paul McC. concert. It sounded just great on all of the songs, even the rocker ones! EAF62 you were right, it was the best concert ever. Loved that joke too, about the sign, "Marry me" "No"... I loved how he reminiced about Shea. I saw that on the tv when I was younger...

    He's still got IT!!!

  • This was such an electrifying performance, I was in section B4, and had an amazing time. There was a Paul-loving family with two sons in front of me were dancing and bopping the whole time!

  • G reat Great concert-saw him sat. -Great to hear a day in the life -Mrs vnderbuilt i'm down & day tripper =havent heard him play those live before! love him to play juniors farm -big barn bed -obla di- back seat of my car-ive had enough -no words-and so on -but i know he's got to do the hits for all the first timers.....thanx Paul -had lots of fun and you sounded awsome!!!!!!!

  • I was there on Saturday (got a field level seat at the same day at craigslist at less than a face value) - no words to describe, awesome, just awesome. I am 47 and felt like 17 again.

best concert ever. You would never say he is 67.

"Marry me, Paul" - "No" that was hilarious

  • That was so funny! i was there on saturday too. i sat in b4,u?

  • I sat at B2 row 9 (actually I was standing all the concert as everyone else around)

the rumors are Ringo sits in tonight.

It sucks if true - Billy Joel on Friday, Ringo tonight and nobody on Saturday when I was there

  • really Billy Joel played? dang! them luckys! and Ringo! jeez! why couldn't John come to life to play on Saturday

  • Billy Joel played a couple of songs with Paul on Friday,

not sure about Ringo - my nephew is over there right now, so I'll find out later

John is in our hearts forever

  • when i was in NYC, i went to the Rock n Roll hall of fame anex for John Lennon, it made me reinterested in Johns Career. he was a great guy. hey tell me if Ring played,ok.

  • It is weird--but not that his voice is tired or whatever was said, but I just looked at a site where they showed the Shea performance of this song, and then this performance--he sounds exactly the same. Yes, it's wonderfully...weird!!! LOL Upside down, I'm on the ground, yeah yeah yeah!!!!

  • Siga no twitter /mccartneybrasil

  • great song

  • great song

  • It's about time McCartney started really changing his setlist! This song just freaking rocks!

Now if he'll just start performing those fantastic Wings rockers like Juniors Farm, Hi Hi Hi, The Mess, I've Had Enough, Girlshool, Big Barn Bed, and Getting Closer!

  • Awesome seats, what they set you back?

  • mto bomm

  • All three nights in NYC sold out.

  • Pauls voice has been on a steady decline, it comes with age... however he must have drank a magic potion for this concert... He sounds like he did in the 80's at this show! Amazing! I was there. It was spectacular!

  • It's weird, because he does sound a little strained when he does big venues like this, but anytime you hear a studio recording of something, it's like he's still 25. Billy Joel sang with him the first night, and I gotta say, Paul sounded better for his age.

  • Thanks for this video. I love it. I've been watching the video of The Beatles performing this at Shea, it is neat to see this one.

And that's a cute little move done by Paul right at before the video cuts of...

  • Thanks for sharing these great videos. I was there in the rain on Fri. & it was amazing! No one rocks better than Paul!

  • The pianist played with his elbow in memory of John at Shea Stadium.

  • I was there Fri and Sat-AMAZING!!!!

  • WUZ THERE! =D

  • I was there too..this was an incredible concert!

It's amazing that his performances seem to get better with age.

He is such the real deal...great artist....the real deal.

Songs I haven't heard him play live in years!

  • I read a comment that said it wasn't even half sold out - is that true?

  • No, it's not true. It was sold out. They were probably referring to having only about half of the field being used for seating; they didn't have any seating on the pitcher's mound or around the baselines. It was packed.

  • Not at all. The outfield seats weren't used because they wouldn't be able to see him

  • fucking awesome!!!!!!!!! keep on rockin paul=D

  • OMFG! i wasnt expecting very much of this, but that was INCREDIBLE!!! this better be filmed for a fuckin dvd bcause it was simply beyond awesome!!

thanks a million for the vid!(very well filmed)

  • paul is fukin unreal..WOW

  • Smokin! He better play this at Fedex!!!

  • I was there and will be agan tonight!!! Gerat Show!

  • he is 67 how does he still sound so goooood!

i herd he played for like 2 and a half hours

    im going tonight!!

  • Eis93, Paul dyes his hair and his face up close looks all of his 67 years with the creases and wrinkles

  • he still sounds incredible tho don't you think so? its shocking he can do a 30 song set list at his age so well...

  • Eis, i live here in Philly was thinking of going but the best seat in the house is right here on You Tube

  • K3304,

As good as these videos are, there's nothing like being there. Make sure you get good seats and you'll have a blast. It rained on us, too, and it was wonderful. It rained on Paul and the guys, too, but they were troopers about it.

  • boirlessnow, i saw Beatle Paul in 1976 Wings show, twice in 1991 and once in 1993. I can wait till he schedules one in Philly again

  • WOw this is great thanks for the post!

  • OMG the man is amazing! I wish I was there!

  • I was there tonight and was amazed at how great his voice still is.

  • Thank you Gundleok!!!!!!
