hey great video! do you happen to know any Motown, Stax, 60's soul music? if so can you please teach me? my father is a spanish from harlem but refuse to teach me soul music basics Arrrgg ! por favor sir ! por favor :)
@Sawlon oh, well i think i can manage to use your theory for any style, but i want to learn how to do, the chicken bass played with a guitar? is it chicken? i dunno, thanks
. . . Here is an instructor, giving the student a nice easy instruction into the basic elements of the bass guitar. I believe this teacher is one of only a few who really desires for the student to learn what he has gathered over the years of being on the" hot seat." Musicians are . . . for the most part, very self-centered. This teacher appears to be free of most of that garbage So here is his best for all of us learners.
@qazwsxasdedc not really. Apart from timing and knowing which notes sound good with each chord (of course), playing bass is a lot different than guitar. The bassist wants to work with the drummer to fill in the groove behind the guitar. Led Zep, Deep Purple, Steppenwolf etc are good examples of this "groove filling".
thanks for the vids, learning loads.
