As for local government, what about the centralisation that's gone on the last 13 years? What about all the money illicitly channeled up North from the more prudent councils of the South? You may hate the Tories, but Labour is little different...

@tdp1909 - I'm no great fan of New Labour either. Going back to them was one of Ken's wackier ideas. For all his faults though (and he does have a few) I'd still choose Ken over Boris. At least Ken actually cares for our city (as opposed to just The City) - BoJo has about as much in common with London as a Martian.

As for Ken caring for the city, what of all the money he gave away from city funds to political appointees following his defeat in 2008? Like most Labour politicians he pretends to care for people, when really he just wants money.
