  • this makes me want to sculpt again. I think that since i do not have a kiln that I will try the polymer clay agian. This dragon is so awesome!

  • awesome my friend ill be waiting for the next tutorial, great talent! and and an excelent teacher!

  • omg.. i would NEVER have the patience to do all those tiny scales... i totally admire your... sculpteyness? lol

  • @darealclairebear LOL! Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed!!

  • What did you use to cut the extra blue clay for the dragons stomach

  • easy ways to sculpt i love it!

  • I do like this much better than the last, when I heard you say purple I wasnt so sure. But very good, I will be watching more of your stuff. Thanks so much for sharing.

  • Hi!! first.. i like very mucho your work.. i want to start in this area.. i like very much dinosaurs.. and i want to do sculptures of them.. can you tell me the material that i need to start.. im just a beeginer! please!! ...

  • @Samuel666tkd I show all the materials I used at the start of my videos.. you can find it in my playlist. I mainly use [sculpey] a polymer clay product brand =D Sculpting is fun, your gonna love it! And thank you!

  • @mrsbyrdone I hear it once in a while, but when I do, it makes me feel so good! I hope this has encouraged you to try, because you have sure encouraged me to continue.. thank you 4 that. :-) I REALLY appreciate you taking out the time to watch this series, that means so much to me.. Thank you for the kind words too!

  • LOL dude u deserve more likes for the hours and hours you put in this god dam motherfucking sculpture Pr0ps dude.

  • Wow i really like it, it reminds me of a water type dragon or frost and i am starting to get into sculpturing and modeling clay myself but i dont know any good websites to get stuff.

  • Thanks for showing us how you work. I am just moving into sculpture from drawing, and you have inspired me. Thanks!

  • @carnitasfever Thank you, the honor is mine!! Ya, I started with drawing too.. sculpting is just SO MUCH MORE FUN!! ..at least, to me it is.. Happy sculpting! Post a response to one of my videos is you'd like.. Thank you so much for checking these videos out!!

  • @carnitasfever Hi again, have you considered moving on to the full dragon?

  • @carnitasfever oh, WOW... yes, I have! I would just have to scale the whole thing down a LOT!! I was told by other sculptors that they cut the wings off and bake them separately..

[sighs]... I wish I had 2 junk ovens, a welder, the fire department standing nearby, and a place to put my BIG Frankenstein oven!! I need a bigger one so BAD!!

  • good job man! did good at the sculpture

  • subed :)

  • me: mom you gotta see this!

    mom: wth is that?

    me: can't you see it's a dragon :D

    mom: wow that's amazing!

    me: i know!!! :D :D :D

mom: hmm what tools is he using?

me: *sais what he is using*

mom: ok imma buy them so you can make it to :D!

    me: YAAAAAAYYY!!!!!!

  • This is some great stuff! the spikes around the eyes are really cool! i'm attempting a similar technique for a stop motion i'm planning on making, and i really appreciate you making all these tutorial videos! They really help!

  • So how do you bake these sculptures? Is it safe to do with the wooden bases?

  • @DemonicRainbows I bake them in our oven.. lol. And so far the wooden base does just fine.. its only at a temp of 275 degrees.. I use a sheet pan dedicated to clay, centered in the oven as best as I can.. "this" sculpture is pushing the limit as far as size goes. And I ALWAYS stay right by the oven the entire 15 minutes too.. so far I baked 2 sculptures with wood bases.. =D Just be cautious...

  • MY BIRTHDAY IS MAY 31 AND I LOVE THE DRAGON.... I'M THINKING OF TAKING UR IDEA AND MAKING EVERYTHING EDIBLE... IF I CAN PULL IT OFF I WILL SEND YOU THE PICS ON IT.... I DID UR ROSES AND I LOVE HOW IS LOOKS... KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK

  • @sarahsmile531 I think that would be AWESOME!! Happy "late " birthday!! If you make a edible dragon.. I'd "bite" its nose off LOL!! I'm so glad you tried the flower!! Thank you! They are SUPER easy!! I'll have to do some more!

  • Thumbs up if you came back for seconds!!

  • omg cool

  • @SilverWolfProds Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it, thanks for checking this out.. don't forget, you can see the whole thing get made.. if you haven't already! Thanks again!

  • Definitely better than the first one. That's what I thought when I saw the thumbnail. Love the glow writing on the nose idea. Your "caprice writing" of course. I decided to call it that. Think it's a suitable name, since it happens at a whim when your mind goes into an alternate state?

  • @Cyber000000 I would have to copy something I already wrote.. Or do some more writing in pencil.. I can't work clay fast enough to do that... but, definitely a good direction for this.. (I'm still trying to figure it out, lol ) Thanks I really appreciate the feed back, it really does look cool.. lol It kinda surprised me!

  • @TheBroodingTom Tom, I just got a wonderful idea for you. I was wondering how you could get the writing narrow, but crisp and came up with this. If you do an underlayer of glow clay and normal clay over it, you could engrave the top layer to expose the glow layer. Could you add another layer on the nose or maybe cut back the existing layer? I've used this method to engrave candles. It looks marvelous.

  • @Cyber000000 Wow, wow! Much more control then what I was thinking.. definitely will try this..

I thought to just press clay on the nose and smooth it flush again... actually, maybe I'll use both methods in combination!! Overlay glow, carve the writing.. add fine details on top,, (like dotting i's and such) Thanks for sharing that, thats awesome! =D

  • @TheBroodingTom You're welcome. I can't wait to see it. I had another idea, but this is probably not that practical. You could do your writing in clear glue and sprinkle it with glow powder. If the glue is viscous, it may form a protrusion, which could look cool too.

  • yeah, you are cool!

    Axartist

  • @axartist lol.. =D It sure is, thank you so much!

  • @billyCtv Thank you so much Billy, so glad you like it!!

  • Woow :O Great job!

  • @xsweetbutterflyB lol, thank you! =D

  • I think I was view #500 and the colors on this dragon are exquisite!

  • @couchpotatotheatre Thank you Mike, so glad you checked it out!

  • That dragon looks very original...the green and the purple and really intense colors...great sculpture!

  • @FluffyJetProductions They were a bit washed out, most of it being the Super Sculpey I mixed with. I think it was 1 once of color, with one pound of super-sculpey [semi-translucent pink]

  • WOW! THAT LOOKS AMAZING!! GREAT JOB, GREAT DETAILS! THUMBS UP!!

  • @Mrcodgerneighborhood I like how you say "great details", when all I did was roll up little balls of clay, and squish them on the face, not too hard to do, huh? Thanks Mrcodger, I'm glad you like this! =D

  • looks so good :)

  • @playjess68 Thank you! =D

  • looks cool i like how you have your videos in parts :)

  • @CRAFTSANDSTUFF09 Oh I had to.. because if the 15 minute limit.. but now that I'm thinking.. I can do a 4 hour movie if I wanted to, now that I made partners.. Maybe I'll edit all 7 together... make a recap or something..

  • @TheBroodingTom LOL cool

  • make more videos it makes me sad your not making much =(

  • @epicfail617 I try.. 'not standing in front of a camera here and talkin' ..It takes time making this stuff.. and I spent a entire day on the editing for this video alone.. Glad yo see you want more though.. I'll get better as time goes by =D And hopefully the videos will come quicker..

  • Hey Tom. I watch almost all of your videos. but sadly, I am terrible at sculpting. Can you make a small coconut cup/sculpture out of clay and make a tutorial. It would help alot.

    Sincerely,

    Yourwrstnightmare44

  • @yourwrstnightmare44 [Sorry.. I had to remove my last comment]....a coconut ... cup? I dunno.. perhaps.. wat you need it for? You know you can NOT use this stuff to eat and drink with, right =P [last comment I forgot the NOT part.. lol] and I don't want people thinking this can be used for food and drink.. lol

  • @TheBroodingTom Its a cup that i pinch pot(ed) or however you say that. but it is like gray colored clay and were firing it in a kiln. I am not very good at it. were making it in school and were glazing it so we can use it to drink and eat. but if you have any ideas for me can you just send me a message or something, it would be greatly appreciated.

  • Wow its so pretty ^^

  • @jadambi Thank you!

  • im curious ever tried doing a llama?

  • @jordandcv The only 4-legged creature I did, was so disturbing I took it apart.. I think it was a dog.. its legs were on backwards.. and had all the "male" plumbing.. oO Wish I had took a photo!

  • @TheBroodingTom i mean like what your doing here but of like a llama's head

  • Tom I love it, and I love that nose! It looks very female to me! Your wife is lucky to have it, I can't wait to see it completed. I love all your sculptures and dragons but this one does kick butt!

  • @Cre8tiveBabe Thank you so much!! I'm very excited about this.. and its so nice ppl really like this!! Even though its for the wife.. things could change in the future, who knows?? Thank again!

  • That is beautiful..your awesome

  • @Teyethegreat Thank you so much, and so are you! =D

  • Wow!! youre very talented!!! I can't believe youve done that!!! Do you paint it or use different color clays.:D

  • @SuperBirdAndre This what you see is not painted.. its colored clay mixed with a higher quality clay (super sculpey) I do have two bottles of paints picked out.. [Metallic Blue Pearl] and [Metallic Amethyst].. I'll most likely use these to antique, or foe paint it!! Thank you so much!!

  • Awesome! Putting the scales on seems to be the long part....but all in all it looks very uh, stress relieving, haha.

  • @ThePennyProductions Sculpting IS stress relieving...

editing on the other hand.. is stressful ROFL!! =P

  • @TheBroodingTom LOL! Editing for me is also stressful, haha. :D

  • hehheh :D

  • @avomit Music to my ears!! Thanks for motivating me!!
