Gibson Pickups: P-94, Angus Young Signature, 490R

Hey all - this was one of the first "On Location" videos we ever did, where we were still getting our setup together. As you can see, it was from more than three years ago! The amp was hidden under a table behind a curtain, and we weren't equipped with separate vocal and amp mics at that time. Boy, have we come a long way! We apologize that the quality isn't to par with what you've come to expect from our current videos.

Premier Guitar is one of the more thorough abd intelligently written gearhead guitar magazines, but these "on the scene" trade show demos are a joke.

This one was particularly useless.

the p94 has a more tele-ish brighter sound..the classic 57 ang 490r are warmer, fatter, creamier but a bit muffled..

Pickups are probably one of the main costs in an Epiphone guitar, say a set is $400, thats around %30-%50 of an Epiphone guitars costs. *Note in my country pickups can be 200-400 dollars.

I was saing if a set of pickups was around 200-NZD$400 (depending of quality) that means it is the main cost of an Epiphone which are maybe 400-$1500 for me. That probably means that they should be worth more a wireless cable at least.
