do males try do mate with males? because i got 2 doves yesterday and the lady told me she was pretty sure they were both boys since they never laid eggs but one of them mounted the other one lol. does this mean ones a boy and ones a girl?
@CHloE748 i forget the study, but many species of male birds must mate. males will mate with fellow males when females are not around. if i remember correctly, the male birds were all in one cage. after a while, they began mating with each other. this study is brought up to help explain to human prisoners' sexual behavior. when no females are present, a mate must still be found.
