America was founded for people in Europe who wanted religious freedom, and the First Amendment clearly states that the government will make no law establishing religion, and Article 5 states that no religous test is required to run for any office. The idea that one single religion is supreme over all others is the opposite of freedom and liberty.

The declaration of war serves to shift our economy onto a war footing which gives the president special powers under that declaration. Factories and such can be forced under law to change there products to war material for example. I don't need to be filled in since I'm quite informed. If you didn't get the comparison between Avatar & Fox then you missed the point. Both are poor quality yet they are popular. Avatar fans went to see it based on hype & box office or at least they would argue the film's virtue based on earnings. Fox viewers as you just did, argue that Chris Matthews doesn't matter because his show gets lower ratings than whoever they happen to watch on Fox. Obama finished the year on a furious, fierce roll.

@skjoyner The other reason I question that they're all about freedom and liberty is their constant denial of the separation of church and state. America was founded for people in Europe who wanted religious freedom, and the First Amendment clearly states that the government will make no law establishing religion, and Article 5 states that no religous test is required to run for any office. The idea that one single religion is supreme over all others is the opposite of freedom and liberty.

The Marine Corps is completely self sufficient for 90 days after which congress must vote appropriations for continued support. Nobody wants to go to war pal that’s a silly thing to say. The declaration of war serves to shift our economy onto a war footing which gives the president special powers under that declaration. Factories and such can be forced under law to change there products to war material for example. It also serves to notify the belligerent opponent that the full weight of our military and economy will be used to defeat the enemy.
