I'm reminded of the Bard's Tale when everytime you died the Bard would say 'but that's not how it really happened...' and then loading the previous save and I expect that to happen a lot in those Multiplayer story sequences. It only takes one idiot to pick the option with the least desirable outcome or worse skipping through the dialogue so you only get to see the outcome in a custscene. How has that been reconciled?
I am in the TOR beta. The game WILL sell millions and be hugely successful. That said it is not “next gen” it is “old school” and it IS being rushed to launch. Not trying to troll or bash the game, just giving you fair warning. If you are excited about the game you WILL love it, but don’t expect perfection at launch; the game still needs another six months of alpha.
I will await DA3, but 2 years dev time and a early preorder is a sign of weakness, a good game stand on its own merits, not hoping most people buy it before they ever see how the game is in general.

They let you record the sessions? I was responsible for some of the developer sessions at eurogamer, they told us to tell people to turn off their cameras for the talks I was attending. They were quite strict about it.

In DA2, the combat is more fast-paced, but less tactical, which I view as an improvement, but also a detriment. What people forget is that Origins was developed over 7 years, whereas DA2 was developed in 2. If DA3 is given the time it needs and the best parts of DAO and DA2, it'll be the best of the series.
@link2037 I played Baldur's Gate after KotOR, and both games are leagues better than Mass Effect. I have no inherit hatred against modern games, but Bioware has fallen so far in understanding what character and games are.

Mass Effect 3 is looking really good. Seems to be growing on a larger scale, and the way Hudson is taking the criticisms of Mass Effect 2 is getting my hopes up.

There was very little substance to this talk. It was just a nice walk down memory lane "look at what we've done" and a look at what they are launching. They did not actually get into any details of the 4 "pillars" and how they think about them.
If anybody place DA and DA 2 you should know that the majority of armor's look the same, I think if they make a third they should make some armor thats customisable what would add some good new feature's.
How is that a must-see? The talk is fairly superficial. At times they seem to struggle to come up with something to say about a segment, ending up with lame platitudes and gems like "a lot of social elements there" as if to say "I'm kinda busy, in the middle of this talk y'see, so I can't go into detail."
I'm impressed with how little information they managed to pack into a twenty-minute talk.

Personally, I enjoy both DAO and DA2, because I feel both are good games in their own right, but for different reasons. If DA3 can successfully manage to take what was good about DAO and combine it with what was good about DA2, they could easily make a better game than the two of them combined.

I personally like star trek over star wars the only reason I think SWToR will be a succes is because bioware made it correct me if I am wrong but bioware makes the best RPG's in the world, so why not a MMORPG? I might be a big guild wars fan but I see no reason to let SWToR pass by, for no gold on earth I would miss ether one of this games, 2011/2012 has the most promising upcoming MMORPG's i.m.o. and there's no way WoW can live up against that as much as I like it though.

Um, dude in origins mages raped everything with one skill, only after a patch did warriors and archers became remotely useful. In 2, magess frost cone doesn't kill,stun all. And in 2, mages actually stepped back after getting a spiky mace to the face. And not being able to cast tons of OP spells while having a hammer applied to their knees removes their OPness. Plus melee rogues got actually useful with a buff. Hurrah!

This is the first video where I've thought negatively of TB, this video is misleading because it's not a "must-see", it's just a talk and he was there to film it. Considering how Bioware has gone down the shitter, and don't even care to make RPGs anymore (there are quotes out there), this feels more like advertising on the channel.

Jade Empire (barebones combat system), Mass Effect (had many technical problems and shooting was sub-par), Mass Effect 2 (dumbed down shooter with RPG elements, made more focus on relationships on the level of smuttiness of a romance novel, zero exploration instead of improving Mako, awful last boss, list goes on...).

They blamed 4chan for trolling on boards about the game and banned people on their forums for telling the truth. If you really played the game and loved the first one, then you would understand how much of a downgrade the second one is.

They're a company that makes video games. If you happen to dislike one of their games, that's your personal opinion, and not the fault of BioWare, as their game is not intended, or designed to 'hurt' anyone.

@earth13 Do you even read your comment before you post it? Let me give you an example: How about the content they released as day one DLC? No its not enough? Well how about the downgrading of an awesome game like Origins in to the pile of shit that is 2. "We want an weider audience". Awfull graphics, gameplay and liniar like a Carl on Duty game. But i guess thats fine for a BioWare fanboy, as long as it has sex scenes, everythings OK. Its fascinating how people defend this shit so much.

@earth13 To be honest, most of his arguments are baseless. Really, most people thought it sucked because they expected a clone of Origins, but with better graphics. Personally, I enjoy both DAO and DA2, because I feel both are good games in their own right, but for different reasons. If DA3 can successfully manage to take what was good about DAO and combine it with what was good about DA2, they could easily make a better game than the two of them combined.

I personally like star trek over star wars the only reason I think SWToR will be a succes is because bioware made it correct me if I am wrong but bioware makes the best RPG's in the world, so why not a MMORPG? I might be a big guild wars fan but I see no reason to let SWToR pass by, for no gold on earth I would miss ether one of this games, 2011/2012 has the most promising upcoming MMORPG's i.m.o. and there's no way WoW can live up against that as much as I like it though.

@AnnoyanceHazard it's there fault it was rushed. Don't make excuses for them and if the best thing about a story is it's presentation, that's just too hilarious for words. Also the combat system being better is a matter of opinion, i prefered origins because it brought back the traditional combat of an rpg in a 3D setting. With 2 the combat was faster but because of that it lost a lot of the strategic and tactical side it had in Origins, plus it was heinously unbalanced.

@BoltonBoro Maybe i can agree with on the opinions thing, but unbalanced? Um, dude in origins mages raped everything with one skill, only after a patch did warriors and archers became remotely useful. In 2, magess frost cone doesn't kill,stun all. And in 2, mages actually stepped back after getting a spiky mace to the face. And not being able to cast tons of OP spells while having a hammer applied to their knees removes their OPness. Plus melee rogues got actually useful with a buff. Hurrah!

This is the first video where I've thought negatively of TB, this video is misleading because it's not a "must-see", it's just a talk and he was there to film it. Considering how Bioware has gone down the shitter, and don't even care to make RPGs anymore (there are quotes out there), this feels more like advertising on the channel.

Jade Empire (barebones combat system), Mass Effect (had many technical problems and shooting was sub-par), Mass Effect 2 (dumbed down shooter with RPG elements, made more focus on relationships on the level of smuttiness of a romance novel, zero exploration instead of improving Mako, awful last boss, list goes on...).
And then, Dragon Age 2.
