  • Would this work with asus p5n-t deluxe?

  • @hockeyhatesgooglnow

I'm not sure. It should but im dont know which resister on the mb it is.

  • I did this mod when I first got my mobo, it totally eliminated vdrop/vdroop issue and the voltage I set remains constant now.

  • The other way of doing that is by getting rid of all that dust from the motherboard.

  • when u got ur mobo, did u do any BIOS updates or flashes? im planning to get the P5E, but i heard it sucks until u get the BIOS flshed, but i also heard its dangerous

  • I update the bios all the time, and its so easy. I always update bios on my pcs but i found its sooo easy on the asus mobo and only take like 5 minutes or less.

  • thx, cuz i read a lot of problems about hte P5E, about hte BIOS and not POSting properly. i decided to go AMD and get the phenom ii X4 940 and M3A79-T Deluxe

  • The new amd cpus are good. But i have the new x58 mobo and core i7 which is lot faster but cost alot more than amd new platform. but you cant beat amd new platform performance for the price since its just as good as intels core 2 series.

  • Nice one, but you really could have used more light though.

  • i done this mod for the ASUS p5k-C and trust me buy a Multimeter they cost like £10 but are a must for doing this because you want to lower the resistors OHMS but only to a certain extent. I reduced a 137kO resistor to 47kO and eliminated all vDrop and now hav 0.008V vdroop compared to 0.04V before

  • what is vdroop and vdrop just curious?

  • Vdrop- is the difference of cpu voltage in the bios and the voltage in windows. vdroop- is the difference in of voltage in windows between idle and 100% cpu load.

  • Thanks man! I woul;d shad the whole resistor. I know, I wish the manufacturer would fix for the money we pay. Every forum and article I've read says the formula and rampage bios just give you more tweaking options (mainly for memory).

  • Hi mate, nice video. Pity there is not so many light. I wanted to ask. Should i shade whole resistor or only some part (upper, downer) Still thanks for the video. Yeah and i guess flashing to Maximus formula or Rampage formula does not solve this isue right?:-) Strange taht manufacturer cannot solve this easy task...
