  • if he had a proper trailer he'd of been alright haha,

  • @GERAINTJW, I did it was a Graham Edwards stock trailer!

  • @DingleZilla there's your problem you see, should' ve bought an ifor williams,

  • @GERAINTJW, Fair comment since there had been a lot of issues with the winding mechanism for the decks, winding handle & brakes if I recall correctly. The trailer has been replaced with a Hudson 14 footer from Acorn trailers. I have to say also that all the trailers I have personally owned have been Ifor Williams, for one reason, quality! All the best young man, DZ.

  • Hi Yehudi,

Many thanks for your kind words young man. Saxon has indeed baptised the wheels, it costs good money to make him piss, water isn't cheap! You may note the "nice little rig" is now someone elses problem. I got rid of it after too many problems with it!

    Regards,

    DZ.

  • @mrsoupdragon

    Super Super Clarets.

Thought id get me bit in.

Top machines r the landies, cant knock em... outstanding beast.

  • Pity Clarets couldn't finish the job off the other day, but even so to get 3 back from 5-0 down was a gutsy performance. You would expect their heads to have gone their arses, but they fought back instead! Landies are great, not sure why they put that Tranny engine in the Defender? The Jag V6 in the current Disco would have been better & its reliable with no issues!

  • Hi Dingle Zilla

Top tip for hitching loaded trailers, I have a wee mirror mounted on a suction gimble that i store in the rear pocket of the disco for when i need it, simply attach it when needed and then watch your trailer-hitch alignment in the mirror without having to get out, saves time and jumpin in n out of the LR when hitchin up a heavy trailer.....first time evert time

  • Hello young man,

I had a similar thing on a previous 90. But that one fitted to the top of the frame of the back door by way of two small grub screws. It was indeed a good idea. However, on this 90 the spare wheel is mounted on the door and blocks the view! Not that it matters, I have since got shot of the motor because of relibility and replacement issues with Land Rover! But thanks for your comment it may be useful to other viewers. Regards, DZ.

  • Hello DingleZilla, great videos..!! That antistall feature is great!!! But has one major problem, when you select 1st gear low range and descents over a hill, and one or more tyres loss some traction the car just go without control.. something very bad that my new puma has.!!!

    Still love landys!!!

  • Hello young man, You probably did see the new blue beast in Burnley, I was meeting up with some mates I haven't seen more more than a few year. The anti stall thing when in 1st low box is amazing, you can put your foot on't brake pedal as ard as thee want's and it won't stop! I am looking to try and demonstrate it better if you've any ideas? Maybe a joint venture if you are up for it? Regards, DZ.

  • y dont you tow a tractor, or have a tug of war with it? on tarmac/concrete so you have grip

  • Hi brownie200708, I have been pondering on something similar to your suggestions. When I have a few spare moments in time I shall indeed challenge the thing. Regards, DZ.

  • Proper Job! At least you got proper tyres on your 90...

  • Narthen young man, Them there tyres are £45 each! I wanted BFG Mud Terrains but was told that I had to order them. So I bought these INSA TURBO DAKAR mud terrains. A bit noisey on the road but nowt to bad. I have no idea how long they will last but they grip very well in greasey mud! It doesn't look to bad in the video but trust me it was slippy mud indeed! The anti stall works a treat, 1st gear low box and let it go, engine on idle speed and off we went no bother. Regards, DZ.

  • The cheapo tyres aint bad at all if you only need them for off road... I have a set of the good old BFG All Terrains on firestyle alloys, but when I'm on muddy terrain, I swap onto my steel rims wit' Recip Trail tyres on. These are nearly tractor like and offer tonnes of grip, but still noisy like yous on the road, although the directional tread can help.
