I have a Droid x2 and it is the exact form factor and shell. I even have an defender series otterbox on it and I can get in and out pretty easily. But if you don't have an otterbox then its like nothing. Its super thin. They are great phones

lol i actually barely dropped my motorola droid and the screen went totally black, i was like wtf, then my next motorola droid, the screen cracked very easily, then my next one, water barely hit it and it stopped working so im getting the droid eris to replace it. i really do not like motorola anymore haha

@jacoblee16 I just dropped my eris in the sink last night it was at the bottom of the sink with like 4 inches of water over it for about 4 seconds and the only thing that went wrong was sound out of the speaker but that went away after about 20min. Everything works perfectly fine.

I've had the Droid Eris for about 5months now and already gone through 3 of them...Now they are gonna send me the motoral droid...hope I don't have problems like I have had with the Eris...The Eris is nice when it actually works....

@barry05201 I had a Motorola Devour and the same crap! The phone kept restarting, but finally Verizon sent me a Droid 2.2 and it is running awesome. No complaints at all. I love my phone and I would not see any real reason for an upgrade unless my phone will not run the newest version of the Android Operating System. I really never used the on screen keyboard untill I got the Droid, really responsive. The Devour had an awesome hard keyboard, but you can't get it all. I am happy now..

i prefer the motorola droid, just becaz of the looks, it has a rugid but stylish ook and the droid 2 has 1ghz proceser, and theres still room for improvement, and i ike the physical keypad, but d irony in my opinion is that i hav a blackberry 9550, which has no physical keypad.......lol :)

The droid is heavy, clunky and has that annoying physical qwerty keyboard. I like the eris much better and as a much closer match to that of the Nexus One. Especially with the newest android os being available for it.

I have the Droid. It has a faster processor, a camera flash, and a physical keyboard. It has everything the Droid Eris does and then some. Yeah, the Droid cost more but I am definitely happier I got the Droid.

nahh... the eris has HTC's sense UI and is being upgraded to Android 2.1... While the Moto Droid has the regular Android UI and has Android 2.0...

Well the droid will most likely get more upgrades than the eris considering its got a better processor, doesn't have sense, and has more ram.

@TnDStudios90 The droid will be fully upgradeable to 2.1 in 2010. The droid also has the capability of running any custom or downloaded UI on top of the Android OS. so it can run the same thing as the Eris as a download, so neither of those makes the Eris any better. You can get all the same stuff on the Droid as the Eris with a much better processor and bigger screen with nicer capacitive touch screen. I still think the Droid owns the Eris even though the Eris is a better looking phone

if you don't like the keyboard on the motodroid, get a droid eris like i did. If you like the processor and screen on the motodroid, get the motodroid. Its basically personal preference.

Still deciding between these 2. I never had a smart phone before, so I don't really know what I need and what I don't. With my Verizon discount, I can get the droid for $100 + Accessories or the Eris free + accessories.......my other option is to wait for the Nexus One, though it will be too much $ if we have to buy that through Google like T-mobile subscribers have to do. We'll see..... great vid though.....
