  • Oooo this gave me the chills, hairs standing on end. THE best version of this song Ive found and the fact it was in a cafe and not a big auditorium in a way makes it even more special.

  • An amazing talent and such a beautiful touching song. I want to learn more about this artist.

  • Exquisite.....

  • Just exquisite.

  • This is music. It's what music is supposed to be. It's not just notes and rhythm, but language that conveys what can never be explained. Corrinne May gets it.

  • Corrinne's voice is like velvet.

  • She made me proud to be a Singaporean :)

  • Your rendition of this is wonderful! One of my favorites. I will need to check out your other vocals! Thank you!

    Yuletide Praise

  • Thank you for sharing your gifts with us. I appreciated your style of accompaniament

and your beautiful voice. It was heart felt :-)

  • Gloucester Cathedral Choir with the congregation singing In the Bleak Midwinter, is so touching for it's heartfelt rendition. This solo effort by Corrinne May is just as good, just as moving.

Thank you so much for sharing your excellent version with us.

  • this is beatiful, thanks for sharing.

  • Not flawless, but magic.

  • gorgeous.

  • What a beautiful rendition of this old song. Just lovely.

  • i have to say you have an amazing voice corrine may.

and i love how you sing in the bleakmid winter its a really good version.

you really made it your own.

  • i wonder.. why there's still 4 people dislike this beautiful song.. maybe they just push the wrong button.. lol

  • I always thought nothing would surpass the choir of King's College in Cambridge doing "In the Bleak Midwinter". But like Jesus was born in a stable and not in a cathedral, it was deeply moving hearing this wonderful carol transferred to a simple coffee parlor. Your intense and fervent interpretation really brings out the message behind the words. Thank you - and Merry Christmas to you too!

  • beautiful... thank you for this wonderful rendition of my favourite Christmas song... much love and peace to all...

  • Your an amazing singer, you gave this song a new touch of life. This is my favorite christmas song to sing. The acoustics were great in this vid, sounds pretty much like recording studio quality.

  • I have chills. Love it. Love you. God has gifted you with such talent.

  • Captivating.

  • I've not heard this performed better - thank you

  • Now thats what I call a coffee shop!

  • @stuartbmc You're right,Stuart! I would spend all my time in there, as long as she sings and plays along... Be glad to have such coffeeshops in US, here in Germany tihs would be impossible!!!

  • @tunesofjazz unfortunately I can only enjoy this kind of thing from the comforts of my own home because as you say, like Germany, this would be impossible in the UK also!

  • @stuartbmc Yeh, the looney lefty liberasl would shut it down, health and safety and can't sing christian songs it might offend people from other faiths. People who died in world wars for freedom and in the end we all become prisoners of the state

  • Wow! Amazing!!! I was asked to sing this, and I will let your version inspire me!

This young woman is an instrument. Her songs, her words, her music, her voice lift and comfort and heal in infinite measure.

  • you have one of the most beautiful voices I have EVER heard. Your voice is truly a gift and what's even louder is your beautiful spirit...instantly warms and soothes the soul. Thank you so much

  • Very nice. My uncle J.P. Cormier recorded this last year on his Christmas album, that was the first time I had ever heard it. I'm guessing that the audio on this was recorded directly from the mixer, and not through a camera mic. Sounds great.

  • i love your voice! its soo pretty!!! my choir did this last year during christmas and it turned out awesome, its just a really good song, you did a great job!

  • Holst wrote the hymn tune for this song, "Cranham" when he lived in the same village as me, Cranham in the UK.

It's strange walking past midwinter cottage and thinking of such a well known piece of music being composed there that would later be used as a carol.

  • this is now one of my favorite christmas songs ever. is so so beautiful :)

  • How beautiful to see you sing before me as I see all the love in your music, Wishing you the very best in all your work, Love is felt in your beautiful gracefulness, I applaud you, God has blessed you with a sweet voice, Thankyou for sharing all your video's for all to enjoy, Heaven Sent From Joy. 10/10***************************************

  • She has about 3 albums out already (:

  • really? can i know each of the albums name.

  • beautiful song for a beautiful voice...

  • I have to do a much higher version in four days and I just can't do it. I wish I could do this version instead - I could sing that high - in fact, I'll call it low, it's a gorgeous alto voice.

    Grr...

  • I sang this song with my school choir for our Christmas Concert but we sounded like howling dogs compared to this. AMAZING!

  • You brought tears to my eyes. When I hear a beautiful song and a beautiful voice I cry...I cried..

  • This is absolutely beautiful. In addition to her voice, Corrinne is a very talented pianist. The combination makes this a very wonderful rendition of this song -- eloquently describing the real reason that Jesus is the "Reason for the Season."

That point is lost on too many of us ... in these times where money is tight maybe more people will realize this in 2008.
