I don't think, no matter what the reason for this, that we need to have the orchestra on the stage. I've seen Elektra in the top houses in Europe, South America and USA and this is not one of them.
Now we know what Elektra has been doing all the years she has waited for Orest to return: she's been studying modern dance.

Terrific singing and acting. The dance, however, feels a bit too choreographed...this isn't Salome, after all.
