Let me guess here. I'm sure that the pink clothed woman is Michie Tomizawa (Linna). The yellow, short haired girl is Akiko Hiramatsu (Nene). That leaves Kinuko Oomori (Priss) in the STUPENDOUSLY large shoulder pads. Hmm, no Yoshiko Sakakibara (Sylia) in this footage?
@MsNinian1 You are right about everything. Ms Sakakibara rarely did any singing live. What I liked though about the singers/ voice actresses is they almost looked liked there characters of the Knight Sabers. I have been a real fan since 87. Also can watch the episodes in japanese without subs.
Man, this stuff was among my first exposure to anime. I got the video cassette this is from by checking it out at the library with my sister. We watched it again and again. Good times.
Lyrics (in Rômaji and English) are available at animelyrics(dot)com. There you go for "B", "Bubblegum Crisis" and it's the second title in the list ^^
My guess is the japanese likes to base the characters on the looks of the Voice actors. I heard that voice actress of Nene has the same body measurement as the anime character Nene, including her weight. labelashavoc (:~>?=
I am a huge fan of Priss and Leon. In my opinion of course. Out of all of the anime couples, I think that they are the best couple. I am sorry I did not respond sooner. I did not want to offend you for disagreeing with you. I hope you understand. I hope we are still friends- labelashavoc (:~>?=
The actual Tinsel City Rhapsody concert, or the Hurricane Live tape (which only included 3 live performances, this, Konya wa Hurricane, and Jumping Heart)?
Yo, if you find the whole concert PLEASE contact me. I've been a fan of BBC music since I was 13 (1994). I know some of it is hokey, but I placed all my hopes and dreams of living in Japan into this music. It means so much to me!
Maybe Yoshiko Sakakibara (Sylia) didn't want to humiliate herself by wearing one of those outfits lol ;) Honestly, I don't know. When I saw Hurricane Live for the first time I wondered that myself.
I doubt that she saw those outfits the way we see them. Is difficult to understand why Japan promotes seiyuu in groups or alone, and why in such a childish way. But I think that for them is not embarassing. Maybe she had some work to do... like a new suit?
thank you

anyone has japanese lyrics? I could write it down myself, but since I know only few words in Japanese I'd probably wouldn't do it correctly.

I still have this concert on VHS somewhere. Too bad I don't have a working VCR anymore. LOL.
Their performances in this always struck me this way:
Kinuko Oomori: Totally professional.
Michie Tomizawa: Working hard for a good performance.
Akiko Hiramatsu: Having WAY to gods-damned much fun! X-D
And even in some of the corny outfits, all three are sexy as all hell!
Thanks for the upload!

4 at least, actually. You forgot 'Say Yes'. :-)
That's actually the tape I had. I know it's not the full concert, I just call it that out of habit.
IsawaMitaka 3 years ago
doh!, you are right, I did forget about Say Yes.
I'm convinced there has to be a full recording of the whole concert and I'm dying to get it.
The Hurricane Lives are on DVD now, so you can get it and watch it again. :)

No, she actually was there and sang a/some parts, just not as a regular. Guess she's not the greatest singer.
And as for childish outfits, those were different times. Just look at all the glamrock bands from western countries back then.
