Nice to get a long, slow look at her like that. I got her yesterday hurtling northwards through Hitchin by day and back again by night. It's a stirring sight. My grandfather was a steam train driver and it's never really worn off.

I saw the engine roll past on that day and i said to my brother that it was probably going to pick up some coaches. It was a lovely sight... and the sounds of the whistle complimented it perfectly!

A nice surprise to see a steam engine go past when you aren't expecting it.
