i am a fire fighter and my dad is a cop. it is amazing how people are ungreatful when you come to help them at three in the morning. they always say you did not do enough or did not get here fast enough. and we hardley ever get a thank you i wish they could be in our shoes for one day to see how much time we sacrifice away from our families and how much work goes in to wat we do. it is not as easy as you think.

Remember these arn't jobs. Police, Fire Fighter, Soldier, EMT, these are all callings. People are just born to do them and do them no matter how low the pay gets or how crappy the hours are. And I thank God everyday that they're people out there like this, we'd be lost without them.

only cops DO care about cops....and....forgive me, I support the military.....know that a LOT of US are in the military........but.....I'm getting a little tired of kissing the military's ass.......Who do you think is gonna respond in the middle of the night when you need help? ......the military? WHO is going to be first on the scene of ANY natural disaster? ....the military? NO!........it's going to be those of us that dodge bullets right here at home.

Once a cop, always a cop....Law Enforcement is the biggest family in the world together, outside of our own families. We trust each other with each other's lives. Losing a fellow Police Officer is like losing an immediate brother and/or sister. It's a family bond that no one can explain.
